Facebook and the sanction of the victim

The “sanction of the victim” is the willingness of the good to suffer at the hands of the evil, to accept the role of sacrificial victim for the “sin” of creating values.

Facebook started out for me as a way to connect with family members I had left over seas. I have shared photographs and memories with friends and family alike. Lately the site has devolved into collectivist inspired in-fighting. It is no longer enjoyable. To spend your time defending yourself simply for being yourself is a waste. Some words from T S Eliot found in Joseph Campbell’s ‘hero with a thousand faces’ stick out to me in situations like this, and the only option left is to withdraw entirely and commit to other more productive endeavors.

Here one can neither stand nor lie nor sit
There is not even silence in the mountains
But dry sterile thunder without rain
There is not even solitude in the mountains
But red sullen faces sneer and snarl
From doors of mudcracked houses

The assumption has now been made that it is socially acceptable to heckle other family members over trivial matters, that it is okay to lampoon someone for anything posted on their page that does not conform to social norms. Facebook has now pulled in millions of people into the swirl of collective mantra, where everyone has to get on to get along, and if you stray too far from the murky middle, you will be condemned and thrown to the wolves.

The rampant self imposed narcissism coupled with the collectivist ideals of equality makes for a dirty mix. I’ve seen people who ought to know better berate their grandparents over pent up emotions that ought to have been dealt with in private. I’ve seen otherwise well spoken people blast expletive filled diatribes in comments when a post wasn’t to their liking.

Social media is a double edged sword. It can connect you with distant family members, it can allow you to share photographs with long lost relatives. But it can also be used to vent emotions before heads have had a chance to cool.

It is not acceptable to berate others in public, it is not okay to heckle family members, it is not alright to disrespect elder members of your family. There is a time and a place to air your grievances, and it is always better to do it in private, one on one.

The shame is that Facebook is such a great and easy place to connect with people. The problem is that it is like being in an arena with all of your friends and family watching you. It’s hard to grow and learn new things when there is an audience constantly plugged into your very existence.

And so it was time for me to leave. I deactivated my account. I’ll log back in to check up on some people and to grab their email addresses and telephone numbers some time in the future. But the days of me checking statuses every hour of the day are over.

The time has come to shift focuses onto new endeavors. There are many new projects waiting in the wings, ready to be started and published.

I have a short ebook ready to publish, and a longer one being written. My wife and I just opened up an online store, and my father-in-law is getting ready to start selling the chapters of his new book.

2015 will be whatever you make it, so make it a good one. Happy New Year.

Society is doomed

“When you see that trading is done, not by consent, but by compulsion — when you see that in order to produce, you need to obtain permission from men who produce nothing — when you see money flowing to those who deal, not in goods, but in favors — when you see that men get richer by graft and pull than by work, and your laws don’t protect you against them, but protect them against you — when you see corruption being rewarded and honesty becoming a self-sacrifice — you may know that your society is doomed.”  Ayn Rand

These words ring true in my mind when I see people working hard, holding up companies, and not getting the raise or promotion they have earned, while others who don’t even show up on time get big increases because they’ve arm twisted someone in management for a new position and pay.

These words ring true in my mind when I look at all the countries that fell over the last century to socialism and communism. All the capital squandered, all the potential lost.

When you look at how deep the socialist tendencies lie, you realize that we now stand on the edge of oblivion. Britain’s Empire is gone, the Portuguese Empire is gone, the German Empire is gone, Russia is a dead vessel, all the African nations which were once developing so well, are now burnt out husks.

society 1

When you study history, when you look at what has really gone on, it is quite scary to think about how successful communism has been in ruining nations.

When you look at South Africa and Zimbabwe in particular, you see that it was ‘racism’ that drove those countries over the edge. At least, that’s what we’re told. No one wants to sift deeper, because they don’t want to offend anyone. I have black friends, and I have South African friends. I can safely say that the black people of South Africa and Rhodesia were not ready to self govern, they were not well educated enough. The South Africans and Rhodesians were not racist, they simply understood that the indigenous population was not ready to self govern. Unfortunately for them, they got swept up in the movement of the day, calling for equal rights, and now, having been brought down to the lowest common denominator, both black and white people in both countries are worse off.

They are worse off not because of skin color, but because of attitude, because of standards and quality. The people of South Africa and Zimbabwe would have been well off to have slowly introduced black people into the voting and self determining population over a few decades. Both sides would have won, but, in stalling these needed democratic reforms, they spelled their own doom. Aided quite literally by the communists, black majority groups took power, and having the wrong set of ideology, drove their respective countries into the ground.

Since the end of the cold war, the metaphorical glass container holding communism has been dropped, and its contents smashed. It now leaks into society the world over. It’s in our schools and in our government. It’s ideology lives on, despite history showing its devastating and genocidal effects.

When you see common core being introduced into schools, with math equations that even college professors can’t understand being taught. When you see those on welfare living better than those grinding out a 9 – 5 job. When you see energy costs going up because of over regulation. When you see that small business owners are penalized with higher taxes, while low skilled workers get larger and larger tax returns. When you see those who put their blood sweat and tears into inching their way up though companies, small raises at a time, always jumping at the latest promotional opportunity, but then seeing a suck up and an arm twister taking that place over them. When you see the gradual decline of once great industries, and empty buildings on the side of the road, shut down because of too much regulation and too high taxes. When you see news outlets putting down your amendment rights, while glorifying entertainment stupidity. When you see that vulgarity is popularized over virtue, in almost every aspect of your life, you know your society is doomed.

When you see that popular science based on out dated models of doom and gloom, take precedence over steel hard facts. When you see that socialized medicine is viewed as virtuous in spite of historical facts proving otherwise. And when you see that gun control is supported in the name of safety despite statistical evidence showing that gun ownership actually reduces crime. You know that your society is doomed.

When up is down, right is left and forwards is backwards. You know that your society is doomed.

If you are guilty of helping hold up those who do not deserve help, while denying a hand to those who would build so much with it? Are you a part of the problem or the solution?

Are you teaching your kids real history? Are you instilling in them good morals and the ability to think critically?

The only way to beat the rushing tide if hatred and stupidity, the only way to beat back vulgarity, is to stand as a shining example to others.

You are the difference between society being doomed, and society being saved. You must save yourself. You must educate yourself. You must no longer stand silently in the shadows. You must find your voice, even if it trembles, and tell the world the truth.

Or else, society, and civilization as we know it, is doomed.

Transitions

Last week my wife and I signed on a new house. I have spent the last week moving boxes, packing and unpacking, and finally this weekend I will have my own office where I can write to my heart’s content. I have come a long way in the last few years. As many of you know, I grew up in England, and immigrated here at the tender age of 20 years old. Since then I have worked my socks off and embraced as much information and wisdom as I could get my hands on. I have read everything from Joseph Campbell to Ayn Rand, and have held many schools of thought.

It’s hard to formulate a good post when you’re constantly on the move. Over the last few months my wife and I have spent our limited amount of free time searching for houses, while building up our business. It’s been a roller-coaster  but I now finally have a place of my own to call home. I now have my own little patch of earth that is mine to do with as I please (for the most part) and I feel proud to have come this far.

house

Some people are mind boggled by my posts and can’t understand what I’m really about. To put it simply; I’m all about being free to do whatever the heck you want to do, so long as you’re not harming anyone else. In essence you could call me a libertarian, but I’ve been known to vote republican, and I’m an active member of the local Tea Party group, which is essentially a hash of Reagan conservatives and young libertarians, looking to change the country for the better.

It’s been a bumpy road, and I’ve typed out hundreds of posts, some thoughtful, some furious, but always along the same line; leave me the hell alone, don’t tell me what to do, and give others that same freedom. I’m all about the individual. It is individuals who move this world, not some murky collective, which always blames others for its problems.

individuals

As I transition into my new home, I look back at my life so far, and can say that I am proud of the stances I’ve taken, of the positions I’ve attended, and the decisions I’ve made. Nowadays we’re told to compromise and not to be divisive. But if you are not decisive and take hard stances, how will the world ever progress? In business, if you don’t make hard decisions; you fail, and ultimately, whenever government takes over an entity; it fails also, it just delays the inevitable decline.

Now that I own my own property, I will fight harder than ever against the statists and the collectivists who wish to drag me into ‘the nothing’ that is their creed. I am an individual, I am a capitalist, I will be who I wish to be, no matter what any authority may do or say.

george carlin

The liberty movement is growing. Last week I was lucky enough to meet such people as Libertarian Girl and Brad Lowry during the freedom expo event. Last week the anti gun bills were rejected, and just today CISPA was defeated in the senate. As we transition into dark times, with martial law being declared in Boston, and evil politicians trying to usurp our constitutional freedoms through traitorous bills, there is still light at the end of the tunnel, and I’m one of the people holding up that torch. It is my generation that has the most to lose or gain in the next few years. I already shrugged socialism once, but now there is nowhere else to go. America is capitalism’s last stand, and what a place to make it. The only country in the world founded completely on freedom. When I swore my oath to the constitution, I meant it, with every fiber of my being. I’m no nationalist, but I will not stand idly by while the greatest ever written document is shredded by oligarchs and looters.

Now that I have my own patch of earth to call home, I will defend my right to own it, and the rights of others to own theirs until my last breath, because life is precious, and it is too short to be lived in slavery to half witted politicians bent on global collectivism.

Keep up the fight and keep learning. I’ll be back and posting more often soon, but for now, the liberty movement is growing, and there are many of us out there carrying the flames.

The 2012 election fallout

It’s even better than I predicted. I already knew that Romney would fail. After all, who really wanted to vote for the progressive liberal anyway? He was only marginally better than Obama when it came to economics, and that was only because of the looting he did as a vulture capitalist, which was hardly a role model for the country. On every other issue Romney and Obama were essentially the same. Many core republicans voted for him anyway, and are now reeling from the news of finding out that Obama has clinched a second term in office. But the good news is that while everyone’s hair is now standing up on end, their skin has thickened also. Already the Tea Party has called out Speaker of the House John Boehner for his remarks about the Tea Party being ineffective and inconsequential, and his progressive side has shone through on accepting Obama-care as ‘law of the land’. Many conservatives have just had a stinging slap in the face, and are looking very clearly at the corruption in their own party. This corruption is what I have been trying to tell everyone for months. Thank God people are now starting to see it.

I wrote earlier in the week that every cloud has a silver lining, and indeed it does. All the progressives are currently singing and dancing, and already planning to tax us more than ever and load us up with even more stupid government programs. But little do they know that we in the liberty movement have only just started to take a hold of the rug that will be pulled out from under them. The economy will crash before wealthy producers pay another nickle for their stupid social programs. Many people will simply ‘go galt’ before they are driven into wage slavery to support the ‘needy’. The fact that we now have our very way of life at stake means that all the liberty groups will band together to preserve that, and will do all that they can do push our liberty agendas forward.

“This is not the end, this is not even the beginning of the end, but this is perhaps the end of the beginning” – Winston Churchill

Did you really think everything was going to be solved last Tuesday? Did you really expect everything to be put right with another wolf in sheep’s clothing sitting behind the desk in the Oval office? At least with Obama there is a clear and present threat that the majority of us can see. Do you really think that the Army or the local county sheriffs will comply if Obama declares martial law? If it had been Romney, they may have complied, and we would slowly and quietly sink into the abyss. But since it’s Obama, no one will comply. Except maybe the big cities; but they are mostly full of moochers anyway, and their fate will be one of their own creation. As for the true liberty movement, and the core conservatives, we will prevail.

Let the silly progressives have their fun, it will be short lived. The campaign to regain the senate in 2014 has already begun, and the Tea Party has only just began to call out the progressives from within our own party. A revolution is at hand, a revolution of the mind, and all the progressives will fall in our wake.

And as for the next president, let’s choose one who can combine all our movements together, who understands true liberty, who will set this country straight again. I am officially endorsing Rand Paul for president in 2016!

Calm after the storm

The last month has been hectic, particularly in politics. In the weeks running up to the RNC I was nervous about Ron Paul getting the votes he needed, and maintaining his delegates in the face of tyranny from the Romney camp. I made a last stand to defend the great doctor, and to wake as many people up as possible before the roll call at the RNC on the 28th August 2012. A day which will now live in infamy; a day when a great constitutional patriot was shunned live on television for the world to see. I was infuriated that the republican establishment would stoop so low and shun the only man in the room who could win the general election for us. But on reflection, they did us a great favor; we now know that both parties are completely corrupt and need to go. Many of Ron Paul’s supporters including myself will now be voting for Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson, who vetoed over 750 bills while governor of New Mexico. The revolution was gaining momentum before that fateful day, now it has gone into high gear.

Then came the DNC, and what a cop-out that was. I didn’t watch very much of it, but the ‘highlights’ were atrocious. We are currently living in Ayn Rand’s nightmare before the heroes leave in ‘Atlas Shrugged’.

And now that hurricane Issac has passed, and the parties are done with their conventions, it leaves me to wonder if I should shrug too. I worked very hard to promote Ron Paul during his campaign, and spent the entire week after the RNC showing how Gary Johnson is very similar to Ron Paul, and that patriots should vote for him instead of ‘the lesser of two evils.’

This country cannot survive much more money printing. We have already reached 16 trillion dollars; which is completely unsustainable. And there are far too many people who are asleep at the wheel in politics, or simply do not understand how bad things really are and why.

When I got back from my trip to see my family back in England earlier this year, I felt like I was entering a prison. I wrote about how I felt in a blog a couple days after I landed. It was shocking to me to find ‘the land of the free’ to be in such a state of tyranny.

For me I could easily shrug and live somewhere else. One of the perks of being born in Britain is that you never lose your citizenship. If I wanted to, I could return home or live overseas in Europe or a number of other islands spread throughout the world. But as Ayn Rand said “you can avoid evil, but you cannot avoid the consequences of avoiding evil.” This is very true. Sure I could shrug, but how far would it get me? I could buy myself some time, and live like some sort of fugitive, but I wouldn’t be living a good and full life. When I came to this country I believed in the promise of freedom in America, in the American dream that you could make anything of yourself that you please. So my shock and upset at realizing that this country has fallen down the slippery slope toward totalitarianism, has only strengthened my resolve to be one of the leading voices to pull the country and its patriotic citizens out of the abyss.

This road back toward liberty will not be easy. This road has not yet been charted. We are like Knights forging through the thick forest, creating our own trails in our wake. My father in law created a post about himself, and the new generation of writers who lead the way through the mindless masses and media deception to expose the truth.

We will lead the charge back toward liberty, because if it is lost here in America, then there is little hope for the rest of the world.

For now though, I feel calm. I have made many of the points I needed to over the last month, and I’m enjoying somewhat of a vacation in my mind. It is always buzzing and sometimes there are great waves that must splash down and create; usually in the form of writing. Right now though, my mind is calm, and is clear like the weather outside. It is truly a beautiful early fall afternoon, and I feel like taking a ride on my V-Star. There is something very soothing about riding a V-Twin motorcycle through the countryside on a fall afternoon.

A mixed economy will destroy itself

A mixed economy is a mixture of freedom and controls—with no principles, rules, or theories to define either. Since the introduction of controls necessitates and leads to further controls, it is an unstable, explosive mixture which, ultimately, has to repeal the controls or collapse into dictatorship. A mixed economy has no principles to define its policies, its goals, its laws—no principles to limit the power of its government. The only principle of a mixed economy—which, necessarily, has to remain unnamed and unacknowledged—is that no one’s interests are safe, everyone’s interests are on a public auction block, and anything goes for anyone who can get away with it. Such a system—or, more precisely, anti-system—breaks up a country into an ever-growing number of enemy camps, into economic groups fighting one another for self preservation in an indeterminate mixture of defense and offense, as the nature of such a jungle demands. While, politically, a mixed economy preserves the semblance of an organized society with a semblance of law and order, economically it is the equivalent of the chaos that had ruled China for centuries: a chaos of robber gangs looting—and draining—the productive elements of the country.

A mixed economy is rule by pressure groups. It is an amoral, institutionalized civil war of special interests and lobbies, all fighting to seize a momentary control of the legislative machinery, to extort some special privilege at one another’s expense by an act of government—i.e., by force. In the absence of individual rights, in the absence of any moral or legal principles, a mixed economy’s only hope to preserve its precarious semblance of order, to restrain the savage, desperately rapacious groups it itself has created, and to prevent the legalized plunder from running over into plain, unlegalized looting of all by all—is compromise; compromise on everything and in every realm—material, spiritual, intellectual—so that no group would step over the line by demanding too much and topple the whole rotted structure. If the game is to continue, nothing can be permitted to remain firm, solid, absolute, untouchable; everything (and everyone) has to be fluid, flexible, indeterminate, approximate. By what standard are anyone’s actions to be guided? By the expediency of any immediate moment.

The only danger, to a mixed economy, is any not-to-be-compromised value, virtue, or idea. The only threat is any uncompromising person, group, or movement. The only enemy is integrity. -Ayn Rand ‘The Obliteration of Capitalism”

I got home early from work yesterday and laid down for a quick power nap. I was feeling a little tired, but I was in a great mood since my wife was home, the sun was shining and it was warm outside. My dog jumped up on the bed and laid down next to me as I fell into a meditative sleep. About an hour later my wife came into the room and her phone went off. I was still sleeping, but could hear everything she was saying. I could hear and feel her getting more and more frustrated on the phone. Finally, after saying “no” several times, my wife said “you know what?” to her self, looked at the phone and clicked the red cancel button. By this point I had woken up and I asked her; “what was that all about?” Brooke explained the story to me, and basically; one of the sites that we use to advertise for our photography was calling to check our information. Brooke was very pleasant with the lady on the other end for the first couple of minutes, but the lady kept asking for our credit card information so she could update our account to a premium service. The amount was not very much, but my wife told her that we’re cutting our bills right now and we don’t need the premium service. The lady kept pushing her, and my wife kept telling her “no”. Eventually; like I said; my wife hung up the phone, and went to her hair appointment. Again; by this point I was awake, and I started thinking about something similar that had happened to my website domain provider. Being in network marketing and having various websites to run, I use one of the premium website providers to buy and keep my domain names. While checking my account the other day, I realized that I was being charged for renewing websites I no longer used. Basically, the site had put an automatic renewal on all my previous purchases. This is not something I had selected, and having used the site for several years, I knew this was a new thing, since I’ve had old domains expire in the past. Naturally I was quite irritated that I was being charged extra for things that I did not want. So I made sure to sit down and sift through all the domains and products I’ve had or used in the past, and deselect everything that was coming up for ‘automatic renewal’.

Now I must point out that the sites I’m talking about are not important, and this is not a dig at them. It is simply to illustrate how a mixed economy will destroy itself when it ceases to grow.

Right now our economy is flat-lining. Have you noticed all the cheap deals lately? All the little extra services for just $10? Have you noticed how pushy salespeople are with you on the phone, just to get an extra couple of bucks?

While the fed prints money out of thin air and the government spends our future away on all its stupid projects, while strangling growth with regulations and taxes. We the people are struggling to get by and are losing our jobs left and right.

A return to lassie-fair capitalism and libertarian principles of government, is the only way back to prosperity.

The fight for liberty will never cease and it is up to every individual to stand up and do his or her part.

Do everything you can to secure your own personal liberty. Cut down your debt, create more money for yourself through network marketing, through ebay, or whatever spikes your interest. The more independent you become, the better you will feel. And don’t let sites push you around and make you spend ‘a little extra’ unless you really want it!

Your personal capital, and your role in real capitalism will help get us out of the current ‘mixed economy’ mess. Secure your own future, and the nation will thrive.

Your economy

No matter what happens in the world around you. Your own self economy is the most important.

What have you done to reduce your debt? What can you pay off right now? Do you have a business? How do you make extra money? Do you diversify your income? Do you have any investments?

When I was 14 years old I read a book called ‘Rich Dad Poor Dad’. This book changed my life. Not only did it open my mind up to another way of thinking, it also got me thinking about how I should use and save money.

Now that I am in my twenties and have credit cards and vechicle payments, I think back on ‘Rich Dad Poor Dad’ and realise where I went astray.

A couple of days ago I was talking to a friend at work, who is about my age, and he was telling me about ‘Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace’. Basically Dave talks about snowballing your debt, and creating an emergency savings account, and investing your money so that eventually you end up earning as much from your investments as you do from your job. This sounded very appealing to me, as my wife and I are already ‘snowballing’ our debt to be debt free by the end of this year. The teachings from ‘Rich Dad Poor Dad’ are starting to come back to me, and I am getting better at network marketing.

Now being a salesperson will not get you far if you are always trying to ‘sell’ someone something. Use something that will appeal to others without you having to ‘sell it’ to them.

I use a site called Peoplestring; it’s a free site that you can use to network market with other people. It’s sort of a dashboard for everything you do. You can use it for sending emails, creating your own widgets, or ‘insta portals’, you can use it to connect to Facebook and twitter. You can even use it to make extra cash with their ‘people dollar deals’. Like I said, I’ve been using it for two years now, and it’s free to join and free to use. They don’t spam you with mail, and it’s my homepage on every computer I use, because its so darn useful.

If you would like to find out more about Peoplestring, just copy and paste this link: http://www.thenewsocialportal.com

There are a whole range of options to help you become more financially independent.

My wife and I also have a photography company. We book a lot of weddings, and local photo shoots. This helps to subsidize our income, and is starting to make us independent of our jobs as our independent company grows.

Financial independence is important, it fully frees you from obligations to banks, government and other people.

We participate in the economy because it enhances our lives. We should never be forced to participate in it through necessity.

The farmers of the past moved to the cities to create better lives for themselves, because they were able to make more money and provide more for their familes. They willingly choose to do this.

“I swear by my life and my love of it, that I will never live for the sake of another man, nor have another man live for the sake of mine.” – John Galt, Ayn Rand’s ‘Atlas Shrugged’.

So what are you doing to enhance your financial independence?

Whether you snowball debt, or create a business, becoming independent, or at least less dependent on the system, will help you to maintain your own individual sovereignty.

The industries of the future will become (like they were supposed to be) more of a choice than a neccessity, with our own love of technologies and the enhancement of our lives at our core reason for working.

“America’s abundance was not created by public sacrifices to the common good, but by the productive genius of free men who pursued their own personal interests and the making of their own private fortunes.” — Ayn Rand

The Greatest Speeches Ever Given

Here are some of the greatest speeches ever given. Some are real, some are fictional. All of them are important.

From the movie ‘V for Vendetta’, a movie about totalitarian Britain:

Ayn Rand wrote this to all patriots in the name of freedom, to everyone who calls themselves a freedom loving American. Oh, and by the way; this is one of the most important letters you will ever read, it is as important today as the day it was written:

To All Innocent Fifth Columnists
Ayn Rand

Note: To All Fifth Columnists is an open letter written by Ayn Rand around the beginning of 1941, when she was encouraging conservative intellectuals to form a national organization advocating individualism. She desired for the letter be issued by such an organization.

You who read this represent the greatest danger to America.

No matter what the outcome of the war in Europe may be, Totalitarianism has already won a complete victory in many American minds and conquered all of our intellectual life. You have helped it to win.

Perhaps it is your right to destroy civilization and bring dictatorship to America, but not unless you understand fully what you are doing.

If that is what you want to do, say so openly, at least to your own conscience, and we who believe in freedom will fight you openly.

But the tragedy of today is that you — who are responsible for the coming Totalitarian dictatorship of America — you do not know your own responsibility. You would be the first to deny the active part you’re playing and proclaim your belief in freedom, in civilization, in the American way of life. You are the most dangerous kind of Fifth Columnist — an innocent subconscious Fifth Columnist. Of such as you is the Kingdom of Hitler and of Stalin.

You do not believe this? Check up on yourself. Take the test we offer you here.

1. Are you the kind who considers ten minutes of his time too valuable to read this and give it some thought?

2. Are you the kind who sits at home and moans over the state of the world — but does nothing about it?

3. Are you the kind who says that the future is predestined by something or other, something he can’t quite name or explain and isn’t very clear about, but the world is doomed to dictatorship and there’s nothing anyone can do about it?

4. Are you the kind who says that he wishes he could do something, he’d be so eager to do something — but what can one man do?

5. Are you the kind who are so devoted to your own career, your family, your home or your children that you will let the most unspeakable horrors be brought about to destroy your career, your family, your home and your children — because you are too busy now to prevent them?

Which one of the above are you? A little of all?

But are you really too busy to think?

Who “determines” the future? You’re very muddled on that, aren’t you? What exactly is “mankind”? Is it a mystical entity with a will of its own? Or is it you, and I, and the sum of all of us together? What force is there to make history — except men, other men just like you? If there are enough men who believe in a better future and are willing to work for it, the future will be what they want it to be. You doubt this? Why then, if the world is doomed to dictatorship, do the dictators spend so much money and effort on propaganda? If history is predestined in their favor, why don’t Hitler and Stalin just ride the wave into the future without any trouble? Doesn’t it seem more probable that history will be what the minds of men want it to be, and the dictators are smart enough to prepare these minds in the way they want them, while we talk of destiny and do nothing?

You say, what can one man do? When the Communists came to power in Russia, they were a handful of eighteen men. Just eighteen. In a country of [170,000,000] population. They were laughed at and no one took them seriously. According to their own prophet, Karl Marx, Russia was the last country in which Communism could be historically possible, because of Russia’s backwardness in industrial development. Yet they succeeded. Because they knew what they wanted and went after it — historical destiny or no historical destiny. Adolf Hitler started the Nazi Party in Germany with seven men. He was laughed at and considered a harmless crank. People said that after the Versailles Treaty Germany could not possibly become a world power again, not for centuries. Yet Hitler succeeded. Because he knew what he wanted and went after it — history or no history. Shall we believe in mystical fates or do something about the future?

If you are one of those who have had a full, busy, successful life and are still hard at work making money — stop for one minute of thought. What are you working for? You have enough to keep you in comfort for the rest of your days. But you are working to insure your children’s future. Well, what are you leaving to your children? The money, home, or education you plan to leave them will be worthless or taken away from them. Instead, your legacy will be a Totalitarian America, a world of slavery, of starvation, of concentration camps and of firing squads. The best part of your life is behind you — and it was lived in freedom. But your children will have nothing to face save their existence as slaves. Is that what you want for them? If not, it is still up to you. There is time left to abort it — but not very much time. You take out insurance to protect your children, don’t you? How much money and working effort does that insurance cost you? If you put one-tenth of the money and time into insuring against your children’s future slavery — you would save them and save for them everything else which you intend to leave them and which they’ll never get otherwise.

Don’t delude yourself by minimizing the danger. You see what is going on in Europe and what it’s doing to our own country and to your own private life. What other proof do you need? Don’t say smugly that “it can’t happen here.” Stop and look back for a moment.

The first Totalitarian dictatorship happened in Russia. People said: well, Russia was a dark, backward, primitive nation where anything could happen — but it could not happen in any civilized country.

The next Totalitarian dictatorship happened in Italy — one of the oldest civilized countries of Europe and the mother of European culture. People said: well, the Italians hadn’t had much experience in democratic self-government, but it couldn’t happen anywhere else.

The next Totalitarian dictatorship happened in Germany — the country of philosophers and scientists, with a long record of the highest cultural achievements. People said: well, Germany was accustomed to autocracy, and besides there’s the Prussian character, and the last war, etc. — but it could not happen in any country with a strong democratic tradition.

Could it happen in France? People would have laughed at you had you asked such a question a year ago. Well, it has happened in France — France, the mother of freedom and of democracy, France, the most independent-minded nation on earth.

Well?

What price your smug self-confidence? In the face of millions of foreign money and foreign agents pouring into our country, in the face of one step after another by which our country is [moving] closer to Totalitarianism — you do nothing except say: “It can’t happen here.” Do you hear the Totalitarians answering you — “Oh, yeah?”

Don’t delude yourself with slogans and meaningless historical generalizations. It can happen here. It can happen anywhere. And a country’s past history has nothing to do with it. Totalitarianism is not a new product of historical evolution. It is older than history. It is the attempt of the worthless and the criminal to seize control of society. That element is always there, in any country. But a healthy society gives it no chance. It is when the majority in a country becomes weak, indifferent and confused that a criminal minority, beautifully organized like all gangs, seizes the power. And once that power is seized it cannot be taken back for generations. Fantastic as it may seem to think of a dictatorship in the United States, it is much easier to establish such a dictatorship than to overthrow it. With modern technique and modern weapons at its disposal, a ruthless minority can hold millions in slavery indefinitely. What can one thousand unorganized, unarmed men do against one man with a machine gun?

And the tragedy of today is that by remaining unorganized and mentally unarmed we are helping to bring that slavery upon ourselves. By being indifferent and confused, we are serving as innocent Fifth Columnists of our own destruction.

There is no personal neutrality in the world today.

Repeat that and scream that to yourself. In all great issues there are only two sides — and no middle. You are alive or you are dead, but you can’t be “neither” or “in between.” You are honest or you are not — and there is no neutral “half-honest.” And so, you are against Totalitarianism — or you are for it. There is no intellectual neutrality.

The Totalitarians do not want your active support. They do not need it. They have their small, compact, well-organized minority and it is sufficient to carry out their aims. And they want from you is your indifference. The Communists and the Nazis have stated repeatedly that the indifference of the majority is their best ally. Just sit at home, pursue your private affairs, shrug about world problems — and you are the most effective Fifth Columnist that can be devised. You’re doing your part as well as if you took orders consciously from Hitler or from Stalin. And so, you’re in it, whether you want to be or not, you’re helping the world towards destruction, while moaning and wondering what makes the world such as it is today. You do.

The Totalitarians have said: “Who is not against us, is for us.” There is no personal neutrality.

And since you are involved, and have to be, what do you prefer? To do what you’re doing and help the Totalitarians? Or to fight them?

But in order to fight, you must understand. You must know exactly what you believe and you must hold to your faith honestly, consistently, and all the time. A faith assumed occasionally, like Sunday clothes, is of no value. Communism and Nazism are a faith. Yours must be as strong and clear as theirs. They know what they want. We don’t. But let us see how, before it is too late, whether we have a faith, what it is and how we can fight for it.

First and above all: what is Totalitarianism? We all hear so much about it, but we don’t understand it. What is the most important point, the base, the whole heart of both Communism and Nazism? It is not the “dictatorship of the proletariat,” nor the nationalization of private property, nor the supremacy of the “Aryan” race, nor anti-Semitism. These things are secondary symptoms, surface details, the effects and not the cause. What is the primary cause, common to both Soviet Russia and Nazi Germany, and all other dictators, past, present, and future? One idea — and one only: That the State is superior to the individual. That the Collective holds all rights and the individual has none.

Stop here. This is the crucial point. What you think of this will determine whether you are a mental Fifth Columnist or not. This is the point which allows no compromise. You must choose one or the other. There is no middle. Either you believe that each individual man has value, dignity and certain inalienable rights which cannot be sacrificed for any cause, for any purpose, for any collective, for any number of other men whatsoever. Or else you believe that a number of men — it doesn’t matter what you call it: a collective, a class, a race or a State — holds all rights, and any individual man can be sacrificed if some collective good — it doesn’t matter what you call it: better distribution of wealth, racial purity or the Millennium — demands it. Don’t fool yourself. Be honest about this. Names don’t matter. Only the basic principle matters, and there is no middle choice. Either man has individual, inalienable rights — or he hasn’t.

Your intentions don’t count. If you are willing to believe that men should be deprived of all rights for a good cause — you are a Totalitarian. Don’t forget, Stalin and Hitler sincerely believe that their causes are good. Stalin thinks that he is helping the downtrodden, and Hitler thinks that he is serving his country as a patriot. They are good causes, both of them, aren’t they? Then what creates the horrors of Russia and of Germany? What is destroying all civilization? Just this one idea — that to a good cause everything can be sacrificed; that individual men have no rights which must be respected; that what one person believes to be good can be put over on the others by force.

And if you — in the privacy of your own mind — believe so strongly in some particular good of yours that you would be willing to deprive men of all rights for the sake of this good, then you are as guilty of all the horrors of today as Hitler and Stalin. These horrors are made possible only by men who have lost all respect for single, individual human beings, who accept the idea that classes, races, and nations matter, but single persons do not, that a majority is sacred, but a minority is dirt, that herds count, but Man is nothing.

Where do you stand on this? There is no middle ground.

If you accept the Totalitarian idea, if the words “State” or “Collective” are sacred to you, but the word “Individual” is not — stop right here. You don’t have to read further. What we have to say is not for you — and you are not for us. Let’s part here — but be honest, admit that you are a Totalitarian and go join the Communist Party or the German-American Bund, because they are the logical end of the road you have chosen, and you will end up with one or the other, whether you know it now or not.

But if you are a Humanitarian and a Liberal — in the real, not the prostituted sense of these words — you will say with us that Man, each single, solitary, individual Man, has a sacred value which you respect, and sacred inalienable rights which nothing must take away from him.

You believe this? You agree with us that this is the heart of true Americanism, the basic principle upon which America was founded and which made it great — the Rights of Man and the Freedom of Man? But do you hear many voices saying this today?

Do you read many books saying this? Do you see many prominent men preaching this? Do you know a single publication devoted to this belief or a single organization representing it? You do not. Instead, you find a flood of words, of books, of preachers, publications, and organizations which, under very clever “Fronts,” work tirelessly to sell you Totalitarianism. All of them are camouflaged under very appealing slogans: they scream to you that they are defenders of “Democracy,” of “Americanism,” of “Civil Liberties,” etc. Everybody and anybody uses these words — and they have no meaning left. They are empty generalities and boob-catchers. There is only one real test that you can apply to all these organizations: ask yourself what is the actual result of their work under the glittering bromides? What are they really selling you, what are they driving at? If you ask this, you will see that they are selling you Collectivism in one form or another.

They preach “Democracy” and then make a little addition — “Economic Democracy” or a “Broader Democracy” or a “True Democracy”, and demand that we turn all property over to the Government; “all property” means also “all rights”; let everybody hold all rights together — and nobody have any right of any kind individually. Is that Democracy or is it Totalitarianism? You know of a prominent woman commentator who wants us all to die for Democracy — and then defines “true” Democracy as State Socialism [probably a reference to Dorothy Thompson]. You have heard Secretary [Harold] Ickes define a “true” freedom of the press as the freedom to express the views of the majority. You have read in a highly respectable national monthly the claim that the Bill of Rights, as taught in our schools, is “selfish”: that a “true” Bill of Rights means not demanding any rights for yourself, but your giving these rights to “others.” God help us, fellow Americans, are we blind? Do you see what this means? Do you see the implications?

And this is the picture wherever you look. They “oppose” Totalitarianism and they “defend” Democracy — by preaching their own version of Totalitarianism, some form of “collective good,” “collective rights,” “collective will,” etc. And the one thing which is never said, never preached, never upheld in our public life, the one thing all these “defenders of Democracy” hate, denounce, and tear down subtly, gradually, systematically — is the principle of Individual Rights, Individual Freedom, Individual Value. That is the principle against which the present great world conspiracy is directed. That is the heart of the whole world question. That is the only opposite of Totalitarianism and our only defense against it. Drop that — and what difference will it make what name you give to the resulting society? It will be Totalitarianism — and all Totalitarians are alike, all come to the same methods, the same slavery, the same bloodshed, the same horrors, no matter what noble slogan they start under, as witness Soviet Russia and Nazi Germany.

Principles are much more consistent than men. A basic principle, once accepted, has a way of working itself out to its logical conclusion — even against the will and to the great surprise of those who accepted it. Just accept the idea that there are no inalienable individual rights — and firing squads, executions without trial, and a Gestapo or a G. P. U. will follow automatically — no matter who holds the power, no matter how noble and benevolent his intentions. That is a law of history. You can find any number of examples. Can you name one [counter-example]? Can you name one instance where absolute power — in any hands — did not end in absolute horror? And — for God’s sake, fellow Americans, let’s not be utter morons, let’s give our intelligence a small chance to function and let’s recognize the obvious — what is absolute power? It’s a power which holds all rights and has to respect none. Does it matter whether such a power is held by a self-appointed dictator or by an elected representative body? The power is the same and its results will be the same. Look through all of history. Look at Europe. Don’t forget — they still hold “elections” in Europe. Don’t forget, Hitler was elected.

Now, if you see how completely intellectual Totalitarianism is already in control of our country, if you see that there is no action and no organization to defend the only true anti-Totalitarian principle, the principle of individual rights, you will realize that there is only one thing for us to do: to take such action and to form such an organization. If you are really opposed to Totalitarianism, to all of it, in any shape, form, or color — you will join us. We propose to unite all men of good will who believe that Freedom is our most precious possession, that it is greater than any other consideration whatsoever, that no good has ever been accomplished by force, that Freedom must not be sacrificed to any other ideal, and that Freedom is an individual, not a collective entity.

We do not know how many of us there are left in the world. But we think there are many more than the Totalitarians suspect. We are the majority, but we are scattered, unorganized, silenced and helpless. The Totalitarians are an efficient, organized, and very noisy minority. They have seized key positions in our intellectual life and they make it appear as if they are the voice of America. They can, if left unchecked, highjack America into dictatorship. Are we going to let them get away with it? They are not the voice of America. We are. But let us be heard.

To be heard, however, we must be organized. This is not a paradox. Individualists have always been reluctant to form any sort of organization. The best, the most independent, the hardest working, the most productive members of society have always lived and worked alone. But the incompetent and the unscrupulous have organized. The world today shows how well they have organized. And so, we shall attempt what has never been attempted before — an organization against organization. That is — an organization to defend us all from the coming compulsory organization which will swallow all of society; an organization to defend our rights, including the right not to belong to any forced organization; an organization, not to impose our ideology upon anyone, but to prevent anyone from imposing his ideology upon us by physical or social violence.

Are you with us?

If you realize that the world is moving toward disaster, but see no effective force to avert it —

If you are eager to join in a great cause and accept a great faith, but find no such cause or faith offered to you anywhere today —

If you are not one of those doomed jellyfish to whom the word “Freedom” means nothing —

If you cannot conceive of yourself living in a society without personal freedom, a society in which you will be told what to do, what to think, what to feel, in which your very life will be only a gift from the Collective, to be revoked at its pleasure at any time —

If you cannot conceive of yourself surrendering your freedom for any collective good whatsoever, and do not believe that any such good can ever be accomplished by such a surrender —

If you believe in your own dignity and your own value, and hold that such a belief is not “selfish,” but is instead your greatest virtue, without which you are worthless both to your fellow-men and to yourself —

If you believe that it is vicious to demand that you should exist solely for the sake of your fellow-men and grant them all and any right over you —

If you believe that it is vicious to demand everyone’s sacrifice for everyone else’s sake, and that such a demand creates nothing but mutual victims, without profiting anyone, neither society nor the individual —

If you believe that men can tell you what you must not do to them, but can never assume the arrogance of telling you what you must do, no matter what their number —

If you believe in majority rule only with protection for minority rights, both being limited by inalienable individual rights —

If you believe that the mere mention of “the good of the majority” is not sufficient ground to justify any possible kind of horror, and that those yelling loudest of “majority good” are not necessarily the friends of mankind —

If you are sick of professional “liberals,” “humanitarians,” “uplifters” and “idealists” who would do you good as they see fit, even if it kills you, whose idea of world benevolence is world slavery —

If you are sick, disgusted, disheartened, without faith, without direction, and have lost everything but your courage —

— come and join us.

There is so much at stake — and so little time left.

Let us have an organization as strong, as sure, as enthusiastic as any the Totalitarians could hope to achieve. Let us follow our faith as consistently as they follow theirs. Let us offer the world our philosophy of life. Let us expose all Totalitarian propaganda in any medium and in any form. Let us answer any argument, every promise, every “Party Line” of the Totalitarians. Let us drop all compromise, all cooperation or collaboration with those preaching any brand of Totalitarianism in letter or in spirit, in name or in fact. Let us have nothing to do with “Front” organizations, “Front” agents or “Front” ideas. We do not have to proscribe them by law. We can put them out of existence by social boycott. But this means — no compromise. There is no compromise between life and death. You do not make deals with the black plague. Let us touch nothing tainted with Totalitarianism. Let us tear down the masks, bring them out into the open and — leave them alone. Very strictly alone. No “pro-Soviet” or “pro-Nazi” members of the board in our organization. No “benevolent” Trojan horses. Let us stick together as they do. They silence us, they force us out of public life, they fill key positions with their own men. Let us stick together — and they will be helpless to continue. They have millions of foreign money on their side. We have the truth.

As a first step and a first declaration of what we stand for, we offer you the following principles:

We believe in the value, the dignity and the freedom of Man.

We believe:

— That each man has inalienable rights which cannot be taken from him for any cause whatsoever. These rights are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

— That the right of life means that man cannot be deprived of his life for the convenience of any number of other men.

— That the right of liberty means freedom of individual decision, individual choice, individual judgment and individual initiative; it means also the right to disagree with others.

— That the right to the pursuit of happiness means man’s freedom to choose what constitutes his own private, personal happiness and to work for its achievement; that such a pursuit is neither evil nor reprehensible, but honorable and good; and that a man’s happiness is not to be prescribed to him by any other man nor by any number of other men.

— That these rights have no meaning unless they are the unconditional, personal, private possession of each man, granted to him by the fact of his birth, held by him independently of all other men, and limited only by the exercise of the same rights by other men.

— That the only just, moral and beneficent form of society is a society based upon the recognition of these inalienable individual rights.

— That the State exists for Man, and no Man for the State.

— That the greatest good for all men can be achieved only through the voluntary cooperation of free individuals for mutual benefit, and not through a compulsory sacrifice of all for all.

— That “voluntary” presupposes an alternative and a choice of opportunities; and thus even a universal agreement of all men on one course of action is neither free nor voluntary if no other course of action is open to them.

— That each man’s independence of spirit and other men’s respect for it have created all civilization, all culture, all human progress and have benefited all mankind.

— That the greatest threat to civilization is the spread of Collectivism, which demands the sacrifice of all individual rights to collective rights and the supremacy of the State over the individual.

— That the general good which such Collectivism professes as its objective can never be achieved at the sacrifice of man’s freedom, and such sacrifice can lead only to general suffering, stagnation, and degeneration.

— That such conception of Collectivism is the greatest possible evil — under any name, in any form, for any professed purpose whatsoever.

Such is our definition of Americanism and the American way of life.

The American way of life has always been based upon the Rights of Man, upon individual freedom and upon respect for each human individual personality. Through all its history, this has been the source of America’s greatness. This is the spirit of America which we dedicate ourselves to defend and preserve.

In practical policy we shall be guided by one basic formula: of every law and of every conception we shall demand the maximum freedom for the individual and the minimum power for the government necessary to achieve any given social objective.

If you believe this, join us. If you don’t — fight us. Either is your privilege, but the only truly immoral act you can commit is to agree with us, to realize that we are right — and then to forget it and do nothing.

There is some excuse, little as it may be, for an open, honest Fifth Columnist. There is none for an innocent, passive, subconscious one. Of all the things we have said here to you, we wish to be wrong on only one — our first sentence. Prove us wrong on that. Join us.

The world is a beautiful place and worth fighting for. But not without Freedom.

Is this still America, is this still the land of the free and the home of the brave?

When I see the tea party protests and gatherings, I see there is hope and light at the end of the tunnel.

Remember the declaration of Independence. Today it is more important than ever that we remember this. We  still hold these truths to be self evident:

I never thought I’d say this, but this is one of the best speeches I’ve ever heard, and it came from a comedian. The movie ‘The great dictator’ was a huge slap in the face to the tyrannical rule of Nazi Germany by Adolf Hitler. Here is Charlie Chaplin’s infamous speech for all of humanity:

And, for those who think that the government is too big, and our cause of freedom too small, remember that the country I am from, was once surrounded, alone and by itself, against one of the most tyrannical dictatorships in history, and yet, the voice of one man led the country through the darkness, and eventually with the help of this great nation, led the world to victory and freedom.

Today our island is freedom, and the last beacon of hope is America, the enemies of freedom are already on these shores, but more people are becoming aware, and the ruling elite are scared. Keep up the fight, continue to spread truth, use words as your weapons, and knowledge as your shield. We need not a bloody revolution, but an awakening to the great history of the two countries that have both exposed freedom best, who’s English speaking ancestors eventually landed on these great shores to continue freedom, and those who declared Independence when the motherland became too oppressive. Today we declare our Independence from tyrants both foreign and domestic. We proclaim our freedom, to self govern, and for the individual to self determine and manifest his own destiny. As Winston Churchill said; Never give up, never give in!

We shall go on to the end!

There’s no news like bad news

In the movie Tomorrow Never Dies, Elliot Carver says that ‘there’s no news like bad news’

In the movie Carver is a billionaire international media mogul of the German-based mass media company, the Carver Media Group. He frequently uses his influence to gain an advantage for his firm or wreak havoc on opponents. Moreover, CMG doesn’t merely report the news – it creates it; CMGN is the first to report on scandals and disasters because it causes them to happen.

Tomorrow Never Dies (1997) is the eighteenth spy film in the James Bond series. It follows Bond as he tries to stop a media mogul from engineering world events and starting World War III.

During the film: Media baron Elliot Carver, head of the Carver Media Group Network (CMGN), begins his plans to use the encoder to provoke war between China and the United Kingdom, which would replace the Chinese government with one more supportive to Carver’s plans of exclusive broadcast rights.

Think about the actions going on in the media right now, and how bias is used to shape our current world events. From the invasion of Iraq, to the current presidential nominations in the republican party. Also consider where we are today from the late 90’s, how many movies depict corruption today?

To illustrate  how politicians and media groups get you to go along with their agendas, watch this video:

Think about a major event, I remember how many newspapers were sold on the day Princess Diana died, the terrorist attacks on 9/11, the beginning of the Iraq war. Think about how much money the news channels make in advertising during crises such as these, with more people tuning in to find out about the ensuing carnage.

Just take a look at an article from the BBC this past weekend http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-16564789 Although it is tragic that there was loss of life aboard this ship, many lives were saved, and yet all the major news channels create talking points and debates on ‘who is to blame’. I highly doubt it was much more than an accident. What about all the other issues in the world right now? The US economy is sinking, Europe is in meltdown, there are revolutions all over the middle east. Which issue do you care about right now?

I read sites such as What Really Happened because they cover stories that corporate media covers up. I do not solely believe any one new source, but I do take snippets of information, and figure out the truth for myself.

The bias and manipulation in the media is so fervent, that I cannot watch them anymore.

The media has their own agendas, and are not interested in the will of the people, and neither what is good for them. Only the special interests and sponsors that come from the top. The corporate special interest media, is terrified of Ron Paul, because he speaks the truth, and they know he will cut out the special interests and war profiteering, and they will say anything to discredit him, no matter how absurd and untrue.

The only way these media groups, sponsored by corrupt politicians and special interested corporations which have ceased to produce in the name of a quality product and service, and earned profit, but which seek to make a quick buck by some disastrous piece of legislation; is if we continue to watch them. Like I said I’ve given up on them.

Unless we allow the current ruling elite to completely change this country into a police state, the blogging community, now including myself, will take over as the ‘mainstream media’. There are many more articles out there in the internet, that are fair, balanced, and objective, than the bias of the corporate news industry.

People are once again beginning to be skeptical of the world around them, and concerning themselves with their own individual liberty again.

What would you prefer? Shocking stories on the news channel, or the peace of sitting at your computer reading objective articles online. I’m guessing by reading this, you’re choosing the latter. And that is where online blogging communities gain their strength.

Freedom is only lost, and evil only triumphs when good men do nothing.

There’s no news like bad news, but good news will find a way.

A toast to heroes past and present

Today is Dr Martin Luther King Jr day.

I would like to propose a toast to Dr Martin Luther King Jr. You were the indispensable man of your time.

Any man or woman who champions the rights of mankind, is worthy of recognition and praise.

MLK fought for equal rights. For all mankind

Martin Luther King, Jr. (January 15, 1929 – April 4, 1968) was an American clergyman, activist, and prominent leader in the African-American Civil Rights Movement.[1] He is best known for being an iconic figure in the advancement of civil rights in the United States and around the world, using nonviolent methods following the teachings of Mahatma Gandhi.[2] King has become a national icon in the history of modern American liberalism.[3]

A Baptist minister, King became a civil rights activist early in his career.[4] He led the 1955 Montgomery Bus Boycott and helped found the Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC) in 1957, serving as its first president. King’s efforts led to the 1963 March on Washington, where King delivered his “I Have a Dream” speech. There, he expanded American values to include the vision of a color blind society, and established his reputation as one of the greatest orators in American history.

In 1964, King became the youngest person to receive the Nobel Peace Prize for his work to end racial segregation and racial discrimination through civil disobedience and other nonviolent means.

Many confuse his achievements and desires with social justice and socialism. But as his niece contends, this was not what he fought for.

MLK fought for equal rights despite an overwhelming opposition. You can see that it was not an easy fight and that in this picture, he is scared, but bravery and self determination show through.

Many politicians and media groups seek to continue the black/white debate and operate under the guise of social justice. Their objective is to divide and conquer this country.

Where I grew up, there were very few black people, and I never once had a black person in my class at school…there were simply not enough living in the area I lived at. Any people of other ethnicity I did encounter, spoke with the same accent as me, and had similar interests. There was apparently no divide, and I was always taught to treat everybody the same.

I don’t understand the ideas behind race separation, discrimination and racism. I find it archaic and pathetic, and I hope with my generation it is diminished and gone for good.

I understand stereotypes, I understand that everyone has their little grievances. But with the election of President Barack Obama, I think we can put most of those to rest.

Back to social justice. It is a vile concept. For if all men are created equal, we all have a level playing field to start off from. But if we are to all end up in the same place. What’s the point?

In Atlas Shrugged, Ayn Rand states that once the government bureaucracy has grown too large, it no longer becomes worthwhile to produce anymore.

Ayn Rand also spoke about how racism is a primitive form of collectivism, and how it has no place in a free and capitalist society.

In a purely capitalist society, void of collectivism, members of any race may participate, and everything is determined by the individuals ability.

Henry Ford employed black people for the same rate that he hired white people. And thus, a max exodus of black people came from the south and moved to the north to produce car parts. There are still many black people living in Detroit today.

Watch the last minute of this video:

Between the innovations of Henry Ford, his colorblindness to ethnicity, and the steadfastness of MLK, black people today have the same opportunities as white people.

I think that special interests seek to divide people of race issues to promote their own agendas and voting blocks.

I think that we should restore the country to its foundations, maintaining the teachings from leaders such as MLK, and return prosperity to every man and woman in this country.

That is why I like Ron Paul, he is not racist and has no special agendas. Can you say this of President Obama, or the other republican candidates?

The true leaders of today are the ones without special agendas, who seek to uphold the values of freedoms for all men. So that all men are created equal.

As Ayn Rand once said ‘A culture is made – or destroyed – by its articulate voices’

I believe that to be true, and the freedom Dr Martin Luther King sought, however present today, must be upheld by today’s generation and for future generations to come. Freedom is a rarity in the world, and must always be spoken about with high conviction.

Here is a toast to Dr Martin Luther King Jr, a great leader of our past and to Dr Ron Paul, who I believe is a great leader in our time.
