Please watch Ron Paul’s farewell speech in its entirety and pay careful attention to everything he says. There are only two ways forward, we can take the path further down the road to tyranny or we can build the path back toward liberty. Dr Paul explains everything in his 48 minute long farewell speech.

God bless Texas
Texas is currently leading the charge on seceding from the union.
All 50 states now have petitions on the White House website, and several already have the 25,000 signatures they need for an official response.
Judge Andrew Nepolitano weighs in on the legalities of Texas leaving the Union:
Succession is not unpatriotic, Dr Ron Paul explains why:
In these troubled times where the federal government has far too much power over our daily lives, it is healthy to question it, and even to rebel peacefully through petitions and protests. Our nation has now reached a tipping point and it must face its issues head on.
Don’t you think we’d be better off if all the states succeeded and then resumed the union without Washington DC or the federal government?
Socialism will never take over America
Communism was only able to fully take over Soviet Russia because the US provided the poor with food. If they had not sustained the people with bread and water, the Russian’s would have eventually rebelled and the empire would have come crashing down.
America will never be taken over by socialism. It is a mathematical impossibility. The only reason Europe has been able to sustain itself is because there have been capitalist nations in the world propping up the whole system.
At 16 Trillion Dollars in debt, we simply cannot afford to pay for any more social programs.
“The problem with socialism is that eventually you run out of other people’s money” – Margret Thatcher
We are already seeing signs that Obama’s grand plan is failing. Hundreds of businesses have announced plans to lay off workers and cut hours to stop the heavy burden and costs of ‘obamacare’.
Almost every State has now signed a petition on the white house website to secede from the Union.
People are fed up, they will not put up with the slug that is socialism. We are in a period not seen since the revolutionary and civil wars. It is literally a battle between the producers and the moochers. But guess what? The producers will not allow themselves to be shackled. Before they pay another dime for social programs and taxes, they will simply close up shop and ‘go galt’.
The engine of the world is driven by capitalism. Without it the whole world falls apart, and no amount of ‘pull’ will be able to stop it.
The battle back toward peace, liberty and prosperity has only just begun. Let not your heart be troubled. We’re in this for the long haul, and there’s a lot of work to be done.
The moochers and looters are currently celebrating their mini victory, and are currently poking fun at those of us who have been working hard to preserve our way of life. Let them have their fun, it will be short lived. Use your frustration to do good, be productive, teach others, prepare yourself and your family for what lies ahead, and be ready to reclaim the world.
Socialism has just about lived out its course in history, and when it comes to a sudden end, it will vanish from the earth, and individuals will rule once more.
America is the land of opportunity, the land of Capitalism and free enterprise. If you take those traits away, it is nothing but an empty shell, one which will fall, break and disperse, and the fragments will rebuild the way it was supposed to be. Whether we continue as a unified republic or as several states will mutual exchange of goods and services, America will flourish once more. We are currently shedding a skin, and a new one is already forming.
Go join your local Tea Party, your local liberty group, go talk to your neighbors who hold similar opinions. Build friendships, make alliances, stock up on food in case of a power black out. Learn new skills, teach yourself. Build yourself as an individual, so that no one can ever pull the rug out from under you, and so that you can always depend upon yourself, no matter what idiot is in charge of the government. They don’t control us, we employ them. Continue to throw out the incumbents, and continue to install new principled representatives who abide by the constitution.
Socialism is almost dead, the socialists just don’t realize it yet. But you and I know better, and we’ll be prepared when it happens.
America’s greatest days are still ahead.
An Open Letter to Romney Voters
This is an open letter from ‘Liberty on the Rocks‘

I essentially agree with the statements of the above letter, and indeed have mentioned many of the points myself. It is a shame that Ron Paul was shunned at the RNC and that our only choice became Romney. It was more of a shame that most of what went on was either silenced or ignored.
Mitt Romney will soon be forgotten, but the speeches from Ron Paul will live on. The Liberty movement is growing. Republicans need to pull up their boot straps and flush out the progressives and king makers from within their own party, and allow the liberty movement to flourish once more. The Tea Party has already began calling out those who stand against us, and the libertarians are beginning to stand out as the future of the party.
Atlas is shrugging
Since the confirmation of Barack Obama to a second term in office, hundreds of businesses are announcing plans to lay off workers and enact a hiring freeze.
Obamacare is unsustainable, and businesses cannot afford to pay for it.
Many State’s are fed up with paying for unending federal programs, and are ready to leave the Union altogether.
To protect yourself and your family, you need knowledge, food, water, guns and ammo (to protect against looters) and a place to stay. Things may get very ugly very quickly. It is up to the individual to protect his or herself. The government cannot protect you, even FEMA is incapable of sitting through a storm.
Capitalism, free markets and liberty is the only way forward. If we can survive another four years, we might see it again. If not, anarchy (and not the good kind) will spread and you will be left to fend for yourself.
If the states are able to break from the union, and deregulate themselves, there may be hope on the horizon, and free trade will flourish spurring a renascence in the economy. But either way, we’re in for a bumpy road ahead.
Atlas is Shrugging. The best thing you can do is be prepared!
Seek or Destroy
You have two choices moving forward. You can either seek out those who would support freedom. Or you can destroy any and all hopes and chances of winning future elections by shunning, silencing and making fun of others.
[The man in front of the mic is a Ron Paul delegate. The lovely lady on the left is a Mitt Romney delegate. The picture was taken at the RNC convention in August. This picture clearly illustrates the biggest reason why the republicans failed in November.]
I know that many people are upset about Obama winning a second term, and I have mentioned many times why Romney was not a viable alternative. You now have the choice of learning from your mistakes and welcoming new people into the conservative movement. Or you can stick to the same warn out principles of making fun of anyone who doesn’t think as you do, blame everybody but yourself, and shun those who are trying to help you.
The libertarians are not out to help the democrats get reelected by splitting the republican party. Most libertarians are conservative and vote along those lines. They see only two choices going forward; the republicans can listen to them and adhere to their principles (many of which are supposed to be conservative principles anyway). Or they can continue down the road of progressive liberal policies, in which the party will destroy itself.
The libertarians are the way forward, you can adopt us into the republican party, and we’ll all be stronger than ever. Or you can shun us and lose yet another election which you should have easily won.
The libertarians can either be sought out to strengthen the party, or they will serve as a rock on which the corrupt conservative elements will crash upon and be destroyed.
The choice in the way forward is up to you. Remember that wars are won by alliances, not by destruction.
The 2012 election fallout
It’s even better than I predicted. I already knew that Romney would fail. After all, who really wanted to vote for the progressive liberal anyway? He was only marginally better than Obama when it came to economics, and that was only because of the looting he did as a vulture capitalist, which was hardly a role model for the country. On every other issue Romney and Obama were essentially the same. Many core republicans voted for him anyway, and are now reeling from the news of finding out that Obama has clinched a second term in office. But the good news is that while everyone’s hair is now standing up on end, their skin has thickened also. Already the Tea Party has called out Speaker of the House John Boehner for his remarks about the Tea Party being ineffective and inconsequential, and his progressive side has shone through on accepting Obama-care as ‘law of the land’. Many conservatives have just had a stinging slap in the face, and are looking very clearly at the corruption in their own party. This corruption is what I have been trying to tell everyone for months. Thank God people are now starting to see it.
I wrote earlier in the week that every cloud has a silver lining, and indeed it does. All the progressives are currently singing and dancing, and already planning to tax us more than ever and load us up with even more stupid government programs. But little do they know that we in the liberty movement have only just started to take a hold of the rug that will be pulled out from under them. The economy will crash before wealthy producers pay another nickle for their stupid social programs. Many people will simply ‘go galt’ before they are driven into wage slavery to support the ‘needy’. The fact that we now have our very way of life at stake means that all the liberty groups will band together to preserve that, and will do all that they can do push our liberty agendas forward.
“This is not the end, this is not even the beginning of the end, but this is perhaps the end of the beginning” – Winston Churchill
Did you really think everything was going to be solved last Tuesday? Did you really expect everything to be put right with another wolf in sheep’s clothing sitting behind the desk in the Oval office? At least with Obama there is a clear and present threat that the majority of us can see. Do you really think that the Army or the local county sheriffs will comply if Obama declares martial law? If it had been Romney, they may have complied, and we would slowly and quietly sink into the abyss. But since it’s Obama, no one will comply. Except maybe the big cities; but they are mostly full of moochers anyway, and their fate will be one of their own creation. As for the true liberty movement, and the core conservatives, we will prevail.
Let the silly progressives have their fun, it will be short lived. The campaign to regain the senate in 2014 has already begun, and the Tea Party has only just began to call out the progressives from within our own party. A revolution is at hand, a revolution of the mind, and all the progressives will fall in our wake.
And as for the next president, let’s choose one who can combine all our movements together, who understands true liberty, who will set this country straight again. I am officially endorsing Rand Paul for president in 2016!
Today, from the desk of Dr. Ron Paul: [Please share widely]
“America is over $16 trillion in debt. The “official” unemployment rate still hovers around 8%. Our federal government claims the right to spy on American citizens, indefinitely detain them, and even assassinate them without trial.
Domestic drones fly over the country for civilian surveillance. Twelve million fewer Americans voted in 2012 than in 2008, yet political pundits scratch their heads.
It’s not hard to see why, though.
To go along with endorsing a never-ending policy of bailouts, “stimulus packages,” and foreign military adventurism, the establishment of neither major party questions the assaults on Americans’ liberties I’ve named above.
As my campaign showed, the American people are fed up. Many realized heading into Tuesday that regardless of who won the presidential election, the status quo would be the real victor.
GOP leadership is now questioning why they didn’t perform better.
They’re looking at demographic changes in the United States and implying minorities can only be brought into the party by loudly advocating for abandoning what little remains of their limited government platform and endorsing more statist policies.
My presidential campaign proved that standing for freedom brings people together.
Liberty is popular – regardless of race, religion, or creed.
As long as the GOP establishment continues to not only reject the liberty message, but actively drive away the young, diverse coalition that supports those principles, it will see results similar to Tuesday’s outcome.
A renewed respect for liberty is the only way forward for the Republican Party and for our country.
I urge all my Republican colleagues to join the liberty movement in fighting for a brighter future.”
–Ron Paul
How to win the next election
It does not surprise me that the republicans lost the race for the white house. You get what you pay for. A rich out of touch guy with a vague (at best) plan to fix the economy and a base which ignores a large portion of its supporters running against an incumbent who passes himself off as being cool. This only leads to disaster.
The funny thing is, the youth voted for Reagan (the oldest ever president) thinking that he was cool and they loved his message. The youthful conservatives of today voted and supported Ron Paul during the primaries (a man who would have been the oldest ever president) because they thought he was cool and they loved his message.
The republicans of today are not the conservatives of Ronald Reagan. It is no surprise that after George Bush Sr a large portion broke away for Ross Perot, and since then they have lost two races to Clinton, barely scraped by against Gore and Kerry, and lost consecutively to Obama, the second time to a man who had a worse economy than Carter. Unfortunately Romney is no Reagan, so even with Obama being similar to Carter, he still won. If you wanted a Reagan revolution you had it laid out on a plate for you in the form of Ron Paul.
Many people forget or do not know that Reagan was never supposed to be president to begin with, it was supposed to be Bush Sr all along. The republicans learned their mistake from last time and did everything to shut out Ron Paul, so that they could get one of their groomed candidates to run again. It is no surprise that Reagan and Ron Paul broke the mold and did so well, because they offered real ‘hope and change’ a message which Obama adopted, even if it was only empty rhetoric on his part.
The way to win an election is to energize your base and appeal to other groups. That is why the democrats have been successful. Though their economic handling has been disastrous, they still pass themselves off as being cool and being tolerant. People like to vote for their hopes, not their fears.
The republican party has become the party of fear and hate. Conservatives hate Obama, and bash his supporters without mercy, they fear him, and even say so openly. This does not make them look good, but worse is their shunning of the youthful voters.
I am a capitalist and my views are very libertarian. Most of the people I know would be happy to vote conservative, if they would just stick to free market and civil liberty principles. Though we may be ‘pure’ by nature, we’d be happy if the conservatives just stuck to their own free market principles, which are supposed to run parallel to ours.
Had the conservatives looked at what the youth in the party was doing, what they were saying, and who they were following. If they had paid the slightest bit of attention, they would have flocked to Ron Paul and carried him to victory. Instead they for a second time went with someone ‘electable’ and then shot themselves in the foot by silencing the youth in a despicable manner. If you want anyone to blame for the loss of the 2012 elections, you must first look at the Obama supporters and then look at yourselves in a mirror. Your hatred, you intolerance, your fear has caused this to happen. You only have yourselves to blame. We did everything we could to get you to see reason, to get ourselves heard, to stick to true conservative principles, to elect a man who would have made a real difference in this country. And yet this man was shunned and set to the side by the media, the party, and the ‘loyal supporters’. Had we been given at the very least a fair hearing at the RNC, things would have turned out very differently.
But now we have a second Obama term, and we must reunite forces if we are to stop his atrocious agendas.
The Tea Party of 2010 must reignite itself, and push to take over the senate. It is a tragedy that we lost seats in this election, when we surely should have won them. This is what happens when a movement loses its way, ignores its own principles, shuns a large part of its supporters, and go’s with the party line. Too much time was spent trying to push an unpopular candidate on those who were not interested in him, and not enough effort was put on safeguarding ourselves through the senate. The arrogance of the republican party about getting Romney elected because ‘Obama sucks’ really turned potential voters away. There was absolutely no net increase in voters for the party between 2008 and 2012, in one of the worse economies and worse loss of civil liberties in a life time, that is truly a crying shame, and sticks out like a sore thumb about how far off track the party really is.
If we want to win the next election, if we want to stop the deficit, if we want to regain our civil liberties, the Ron Paul libertarian conservatives (mostly young people) must be embraced with open arms.
This cannot be the party of ‘no’. It must be the party of (dare I say it) ‘yes we can’. Yes we can restore this nation, yes we can rebuild the economy, yes we can defeat the democrats, but only if we get our edge back, only if we gain more voting blocks. And do you know what the easiest voting block is to take over? Youth. Even the college kids who currently worship Obama would vote republican if we put a cool guy like Ron Paul in, someone with a strong message, strong convictions, and a background to prove it. If thousands of people show up to see this old man talk at a college campus in the primaries, how many people do you think will show up for his son at a presidential event?
Forget abortion, forget gay marriage, forget drug enforcement; these issues make us look like we’re from the stone age and they pale in comparison to the economy and civil liberties, issues which are vital to our survival. Wake up, get hip, promote freedom, make it cool, and embrace the youth. It’s our future that’s at stake, so there’s plenty to talk about. If you want to regrow the party, that’s where to start.
The young conservatives of today will be the core of the republican party tomorrow, so you want to nurture that, not turn it away. The new generation of conservatives are more libertarian in nature than the previous generation. We are more tolerant of others beliefs and practices, but we’re more firm in our convictions on economics and civil liberties. Oh, and we already have a new candidate in mind, one that even the older conservatives can like.
Let’s get the ball rolling, let’s get to work on calling our representatives and putting their feet to the fire. Let’s gear up for the senate races in 2014 and let’s start the campaign for Rand Paul 2016!
Thoughts on the 2012 election and the future
I have mixed feelings about the 2012 election. I did not vote for Mitt Romney, but I also did not want Obama to win. I did everything I could to strengthen the liberty movement, and to help the libertarians to offset the corruption of the republican party. I voted for Gary Johnson for president to give the libertarians a cutting edge to build from, but I also voted for many republicans in house and senate seats to overthrow the diluted democrats, who simply do not get it.
I thought Mitt Romney was a progressive and that being elected as president would allow him to sweep our efforts under the rug because he is a conservative, if only in name. Perhaps he would have improved the economy slightly, and bumbled it along a little longer, but I think he also would have started a massive war with Iran, and he would have done nothing for our civil liberties. But all that aside, I know many of you worked hard to get him elected simply because he was the only person with enough power to beat Obama, who has turned out to be a terrible president, and a detriment to our freedoms and our way of life.
I would like to apologize to those who I have upset or offended during the course of this election period. I set out to get Ron Paul elected through the primaries. A man who I thought could actually change things for the better. Sadly he was shunned like a piece of garbage by the crooked establishment and the bought and paid for media. Ron Paul is one of the very few people who still shine as a beacon of hope in a wasteland of empty promises. But what’s done is done, and now we have to move forward. The points that I made over the course of the last few months, particularly against Mitt Romney and the establishment were to prove how corrupt they are and to illustrate just how far gone our republic is that he could ever possibly be our best chance to preserve freedom.
The republicans and the democrats are exceedingly corrupt, and we must continue to throw out the incumbents who do not follow the constitution, and install people who will actually do their jobs the way they are supposed to.
I will continue to point out faults in both parties, but I am willing to work with both the libertarians and the conservatives to find common ground so that we can create a bulwark against the tidal wave which is coming in the form of massive debt, the dollar collapse, and the erosion of civil liberties. Barack Obama’s policies are a detriment to our liberties, and we must stop the attack from both sides of the isle.
I would like to extend my thanks to those of you who worked on the side of liberty, whether we agreed on our methods or not, I know you did what you felt was right, and I did the same. Now is not the time to point fingers, but to find common ground and focus on our strengths so that we can build a future. I think every reader on here will agree on free markets, civil liberties and the protection of the constitution. I think also that by far the biggest issue of the day is the national debt, and we must work to plug the dam immediately if we are to avert a complete currency collapse.
I am willing to work with those of you who believe in individual liberties, and who are working hard to preserve them. I will continue to write articles to expose the looters, and combat the corrupt. I will continue to offer solutions and to explain my theories along with information that I have found along the way.
Though the storm clouds are gathering, and our greatest challenge is fast approaching, I know that we will prevail. The liberty movement is just getting started!
