Texas is currently leading the charge on seceding from the union.

All 50 states now have petitions on the White House website, and several already have the 25,000 signatures they need for an official response.

In these troubled times where the federal government has far too much power over our daily lives, it is healthy to question it, and even to rebel peacefully through petitions and protests. Our nation has now reached a tipping point and it must face its issues head on.

Don’t you think we’d be better off if all the states succeeded and then resumed the union without Washington DC or the federal government?

“America is over $16 trillion in debt. The “official” unemployment rate still hovers around 8%. Our federal government claims the right to spy on American citizens, indefinitely detain them, and even assassinate them without trial.

Domestic drones fly over the country for civilian surveillance. Twelve million fewer Americans voted in 2012 than in 2008, yet political pundits scratch their heads.

It’s not hard to see why, though.

To go along with endorsing a never-ending policy of bailouts, “stimulus packages,” and foreign military adventurism, the establishment of neither major party questions the assaults on Americans’ liberties I’ve named above.

As my campaign showed, the American people are fed up. Many realized heading into Tuesday that regardless of who won the presidential election, the status quo would be the real victor.

GOP leadership is now questioning why they didn’t perform better.

They’re looking at demographic changes in the United States and implying minorities can only be brought into the party by loudly advocating for abandoning what little remains of their limited government platform and endorsing more statist policies.

My presidential campaign proved that standing for freedom brings people together.

Liberty is popular – regardless of race, religion, or creed.

As long as the GOP establishment continues to not only reject the liberty message, but actively drive away the young, diverse coalition that supports those principles, it will see results similar to Tuesday’s outcome.

A renewed respect for liberty is the only way forward for the Republican Party and for our country.

The future of war and peace

The United States currently has the strongest air force in the world. It maintains its superpower status by maintaining its fleet.

Before the US gained air superiority. Britain had the stongest Navy in the world, and its fleet of battleships ruled the seas, maintaining Britain’s supremacy as the worlds formost superpower.

But nation’s do not stay powerful for long. Not when they have become collectivist at heart, and loot their general populace.

The United States, while having the strongest millitary, also has the largest spending. The US spends more on defence, than the next fifteen countries combined!

If standing armies were the badge of a superpower before navies, and airforces are the current standard. Wouldn’t you suppose that the next step would be the domination of space?

We currently have hundreds of satilites revolving around the earth. Many of these are capable of capturing images from countries the world over, and reporting back the going’s on, in great detail.

The next step in superiority is space, not in an airforce, which requries a great deal of fuel to keep going.

The deal we currently have with China is dangerous. We do ship our jobs over seas. But it is worse than that. Our fine young minds are unable to expand their thoughts and ideas due to heavy government regulations and red tape.

The country that once embraced and produced new technologies, now ships them over seas at the blink of and eye.

There are vultures throughout government, who are more interested in making a quick buck, and looting the general populace, than of streamlining the inventing and producing process through simpler laws and regulations.

This nation’s wealth is tied to its inventors and producers. It’s debt and hardships are tied to its vultures in government and corrupt corporations in bed with these parasites.

A nation cannot sustain a war effort without an economy to produce its arms, and keep its armies supplied.

This nation’s economy is crumbling, and thus, our war capacity is failing. The traitors in government are selling this country down the river with every new peice of strangling legislation and tax increase, and every new expansion of war funding and sanction signing. To create more wars when we have a failing economy, is not only immoral, but dangerous to our very way of life.

The future of warfare lies in new technology, and can only be produced by the great minds of the world. The inventors and producers must be allowed to thrive within our borders, or else they will go elsewhere or simply shrug and not produce.

Our real defense of this nation lies within the individual, with his ability to defend himself, his family, and his neighbors with his shotgun and pistol, and assault rifle if necessary. It is not up to the traitors who want to ban guns and ammo, and leave the country open to invasion.

We have traitors in our midst, who would leave us naked and exposed to rouge regimes of the world. Those who wish us to give up our guns, wish us to not only give up our liberties and safeguards for freedom and way of life, but to leave us exposed to the rouge elements of our own society, and to the pariah regimes of the world.

Our armies are stretched thin throughout the world. The war mongers are beating the drums for more wars. Our debt is spiraling out of control, and the traitors are asking us to give up our last line of defense.

The future of war, and of peace, lies at home with the individual. And if attacked, those individuals can rise up and defend their nation.

There is a movie from 1955 ‘the dam busters‘, that depicts Barnes Wallis who invented ‘the bouncing bomb‘ that took out two huge damns on the Ruhr in Germany, slashing their capacity to make steel by two thirds. This wreaked more havoc on the German war machine, than the entire air force could on a string of factories.

Wars are won by individuals. Not only their leaders in their armies, but by the inventors who create new technologies, or simply refine old ones, to suit the new problems in war.

Watch the skies, and keep an eye on China, they have amassed wealth at our disposal, and we have allowed the traitors in this country to let it happen.

We need to reduce the deficit, bring the troops home to slash the defense bill, and concentrate on rebuilding ourselves from within.

The future of war and of peace lies in our hands, and ours alone.

Back to the old country

It was a very busy and productive weekend after a very busy and productive week. We shot photographs for my friend’s wedding and we had a blast. It was probably the smallest wedding we have done to date, but it was a great crowd of people, and everyone had a good time.

Last night I packed my suitcase and gathered all my important possessions, including my Columbia jacket, wrangler jeans, leather jacket and Canon Rebel camera. Brooke and I have been working very hard lately and are in need of some down time. I haven’t seen my extended family in England since we got married, and it seemed like the perfect time to go back for a visit, since I am now a US citizen, and tickets are cheaper this time of year, before the summer rush.

Today we set off for 10 days in old blighty. It will be strange going back, I’ve grown up a lot since I left. I was barely 20 years old when Brooke and I got married and I decided to stay in the US. By the end of this year I’ll be 25. Since moving here, I’ve been married, bought and ridden three motorcycles and two cars. I’ve adopted a puppy, who is now our loyal dog. We rent a large town-home in a nice suburban area of the Greater Cincinnati area, we have furniture and all kinds of utensils and other homely appliances. We run our own photography business, and we’re looking at buying a house and studio later this year. All in all, we’re doing quite well, and I’ve gone from being a teenager in love, to a devoted husband and striving toward being a successful businessman.

I’m looking forward to seeing my family again and seeing familiar sights, and sitting down to old favorite meals. For those of you who I’m flying out to see, I’ll see you soon! And for those who I am leaving here; I’ll be back!

Glenn Beck the flip flop?

Where to start?

I suppose it’s been about a month since my last post. I’ve been busy with work, and frustrated with the way the elections have been turning out. It seems the mainstream media has done a great job sidelining Ron Paul. I did however get a pinch of excitement yesterday to see that Rick Santorum has left the race; which means there is only one cannon fodder candidate left to stand against Mitt Romney. I suspect Newt will drop out soon, and then it will be a straight battle between Ron and Mitt. I was however disappointed to see how quickly Glenn has thrown in his support behind Mitt. And this is precisely why I do not follow nor trust Glenn Beck anymore. I used to love Glenn. I have many of his books, and I agree on many of the things that he says. What bothers me is how easily he ignores and sidelines Ron Paul, even though he is the only candidate who is standing up for all the American principles that Glenn so enthusiastically preaches about. And now he has thrown in the towel to get behind a progressive like Mitt Romney, who provided the blueprint for Obama-care. So whose side is Glenn really on?

I’m still vouching for Ron Paul. I’m still vouching for the constitution, and a man of his word who will defend and restore it. I will not vote for Mitt Romney or Barack Obama.

Glenn might be on the right track with much of what he says, but I will not get behind another progressive candidate just because he is a republican. As far as I see it, the democrats as Glenn points out do represent socialism, bordering communism these days, but as far as I see it, the republicans are corporatists bordering fascism these days also, and neither side is good for this country. I want to live in a free world that respects individuals and the rule of law. I want to live in a country that respects individual rights and liberties, and gives everyone a chance to create the future for themselves, without robbing from others to do so.

I find it funny that George Soros himself says that there is not much difference between Mitt Romney and Barack Obama. Glenn has spent much of the last few years bashing Soros on a daily bases for being a progressive, and yet now he is supporting the same candidate that Soros supports.

I will not support Mitt Romney. I find it a shame that Glenn will.

And for those who think that the republican presidential race is over. I will leave you with this:

Warren Harding went into the brokered 1920 convention with only 6% of the delegates, but emerged as the party’s nominee. Harding won the general election in a landslide and took a very non-interventionist approach to the Depression of 1921.

Ron Paul will be the republican candidate at the end of the convention. Or else Barack Obama will win the next general election.

I suggest you stand with liberty and a candidate of integrity. Where did Glenn’s integrity go? Does he really stand for American values? I can’t tell, but I suggest you lead your own values, and not just listen to what someone else says.

Life is without meaning. You bring the meaning to it

There are certain stages we go through in life. We have our childhood, our teenage years, our twenties, thirties and so on into old age. I believe that we are all supposed to become more intelligent as we grow older, and pass that wisdom on to our children and grandchildren.

For me, I suppose you could say I’m in the third stage. I’m currently in my twenties, but I’ve often been commented on in having wisdom beyond my years. It is a great feeling to hear this, and I am very humbled when I am told that. The reason is simple really. I read a lot, I participate in the world the best I can. I work hard, and when I’m home I study. I don’t study for some college exam or write an essay to please my ‘peers’. I study for the love of knowledge. My wife and I are getting close to the stage where we’re ready to have children, and I want to pass on the knowledge I have gained to them.

I’ve mentioned it a few times since I started my blog, that I love the book ‘Rich Dad, Poor Dad’. It is not so much about becoming wealthy in monetary terms, but becoming wealthy in knowledge so that you can get ahead and make the most out of life.

After meeting my wife, I entered a more mythological stage. A stage that many teenagers do not enter, and hence later get lost into alcoholism through high school and college. They ignore the realities of life, while submitting their minds to whatever their professors teach them in college. I took a different path. The second visit I made to see my wife (at the time girlfriend), I was 17 years old, it was the middle of summer, and we had 2 glorious months enjoying life, free of the burden of bills, exams and schedules. That summer I read ‘the hero with a thousand faces’ and in the fall time I read ‘reflections on the art of living’. Between Rich Dad Poor Dad, and Joseph Campbell’s two mythology books, I was changed forever.

Having noticed the differences between England and America was one thing, but seeing them on financial, and mythological terms, meant that I began to seriously question the world around me, and why people acted the way that they did, and why many never do anything to fix their problems.

Now that I am in my twenties, and having read many more books, such as ‘thus spoke Zarathustra’, ‘the art of war’, ‘the book of five rings’, among many others and more recently ‘Atlas Shrugged’. My view of the world is far different than that of an ordinary citizen of any given country.

Having moved to a different country, married the girl of my dreams, become a citizen of that country, and having spent a reasonable amount of time talking to another mythological mentor, I have shaped many contrasting opinions to others, based on found facts and thinking outside of the box.

The heroes journey talks about adhering to the call of adventure, and that is one that I have taken. Now that I am in my twenties I am fully constructing my life as I see fit, and again it is much different to that of others. Never be afraid to do something different, and never be afraid to question the world around you. Many people fall into the trap of debt slavery, and many never bother to look outside of the box.

My intentions with this blog are not to have the FBI start watching me. I am not interested in spreading conspiracy theories, and I have no intentions to harm anyone. I took an oath to defend the constitution of the United States, and having studied history, and learned the difference between constitutional republics and oligarchies, and the difference between capitalism and communism. I can honestly say that what this country was founded upon, is the best system in history. Having sworn my oath, it is my duty to help protect the constitution, and flash a light on those who would destroy it. I must help preserve it, because freedom is worth saving. Without it, our lives become ever more meaningless.

Our lives are supposed to become more and more meaningful as we grow older. Our knowledge and our hard work is supposed to fill us with abundance, and carry us up toward new levels in life. We are not supposed to become burdened by taxes and debt. We are supposed to be free to live our lives how we please.

And so, as I build my life, and I see all the forces that be, conspiring to destroy the republic, with all their silly little schemes to make an extra buck off the encroaching slavery of millions. I take up my sword and shield of knowledge, and run into the fray. For the hero cannot claim the day unless he is willing to charge head long into the belly of the beast. The fear of death becomes a wasted life, in which the fruits of your labor become sour, and your life ends up forgotten. The heroes of the past knew that they must do everything in their power to preserve and fight for freedom, for without it, we are nothing.

I am building my life for the better, and I write this blog to help expose the truth, so that you might help yourself build yours, and together we will preserve and restore freedom to this great nation. We will restore this beacon of hope to the world.

Life is without meaning, but we will bring back the meaning to it, and our lives will become more abundant because of it.

A return to values

Our Societies are made and broken on a system of values. If our values are strong and rooted in a common cause for freedom, we will be strong. If our values are rooted in a common cause for collective salvation, our nation will become weak and perish.

My values of freedom, independence and limited government, mean that my political views do not fall into the category of Conservative or Liberal

My views are strictly libertarian in nature, and I follow the constitution of the United States since it embodies many libertarian values.

Libertarianism is a political philosophy that upholds individual liberty, especially freedom of expression and action.

The largest growth of freedom and industry in history can be traced to laissez-fair capitalism and libertarian systems of government.

Pax Britannica (Latin for “the British Peace”, modelled after Pax Romana) was the period of relative peace in Europe (1815–1914) during which the British Empire controlled most of the key maritime trade routes and enjoyed unchallenged sea power.

Although Great Britain did create the largest Empire in history, it was mostly done through exploration and peaceful trade agreements. Some skirmishes did happen, but the Empire was not constantly at war, and ruled over its territories with very few people, and lax rules. Peace and Prosperity, laissez-faire capitalism and libertarian values allowed the expansion of the British Empire through trade. This was also a period of great industrial growth and led to the industrial revolution.

Many of the current political establishments throughout the world today, seek to divide and conquer us with the game of Left vs. Right or conservative vs. liberal. While many do have more conservative or liberal opinions, I believe the Overton Window has shifted so that we are all now ‘progressives’. If you support a progressive candidate on either the left or the right, you are essentially a progressive by aiding their agenda.

However there is a third option; we can go back to constitutional values, and start voting for candidates who espouse these values.

Do not vote for a progressive on either side, even if this allows ‘the other side’ to win. In reality the only side is your side. The individuals side. If you cannot win, then don’t play. Stick to local issues, and talk to as many people as you can about national issues when there is someone who actually sticks to the constitution.

When I see President Barack Obama, I see the communist values of Joseph Stalin, and when I look at Newt Gingrich or Mitt Romney I see the fascist values of Adolf Hitler. Neither sides stick to what they say, and both have pro-government agendas with the expansion of government interference in our daily lives and the destruction of our personal freedoms.

While capitalism and a free society with libertarian values are important, peace is the third key to prosperity. We must not engage in unnecessary warfare.

Our current situation, mirroring the downfall of the Roman Empire by taking over countries, is unsustainable, and should be avoided. See my article WWIII, a great depression or liberty to see why another war will ruin us.

We should be peaceful with other countries, and engage in trade. More money and prosperity can be made in peace time than in war time, and more technologies can be invented when there is peace at home to do so to.

There will always be threats to us, and we will confront them, but we cannot continue to create preemptive attacks on other countries simply because we fear them producing a weapon that we already have thousands of ourselves.

We do not have the right to police the world, but we do have a right to protect ourselves, and protect ourselves we shall. We must get back to our roots and become a leader in the world again, a leader for peace and prosperity through freedom, free trade, laissez-faire capitalism and libertarian values. Once we do this, the world will be a better place.

Empires rise and fall, countries rise and fall, and all of this is because the people of the nations allow it to fall to by becoming apathetic. This nation is founded upon the principles of freedom, and thus has the most potential to save itself. A return to values is far more important than any one party, and a return to peace will ensure our survival, and allow our country to thrive once more.

Documents to live by

Throughout history, civilizations have risen and fallen. Many people have lived in slavery, and few in freedom. Even in the modern world, many live under a totalitarian regime, and many under the oppression of communism and dictatorships.

In 1215 a group of Englishmen banded together and created the magna carta, a charter of common laws which provides for the basic rights of man.

Magna Carta is an English charter, originally issued in the year 1215 and reissued later in the 13th century in modified versions. The later versions excluded the most direct challenges to the monarch’s authority that had been present in the 1215 charter. The charter first passed into law in 1225; the 1297 version, with the long title (originally in Latin) The Great Charter of the Liberties of England, and of the Liberties of the Forest, still remains on the statute books of England and Wales.

The 1215 charter required King John of England to proclaim certain liberties, and accept that his will was not arbitrary, for example by explicitly accepting that no “freeman” (in the sense of non-serf) could be punished except through the law of the land, a right which is still in existence today.

The United States of America

When Englishmen left their homeland for the new world, they brought with them charters establishing the colonies. The Massachusetts Bay Company charter for example stated the colonists would “have and enjoy all liberties and immunities of free and natural subjects.” The Virginia Charter of 1606 (which was largely drafted by Sir Edward Coke) stated the colonists would have all “liberties, franchises and immunities” as if they had been born in England. The Massachusetts Body of Liberties contained similarities to clause 29 of the Magna Carta, and the Massachusetts General Court in drawing it up viewed Magna Carta as the chief embodiment of English common law.^[73] The other colonies would follow their example.

The settlers of the origional 13 colonies lived by the comman laws of England, and when they began to feel oppressed by the monarchy of England, they decided to seperate from the motherland, and create a new country.

United States Declaration of Independence

The Declaration of Independence was a statement adopted by the Continental Congress on July 4, 1776, which announced that the thirteen American colonies then at war with Great Britain regarded themselves as independent states, and no longer a part of the British Empire. John Adams put forth a resolution earlier in the year which made a formal declaration inevitable. A committee was assembled to draft the formal declaration, which was to be ready when congress voted on independence. Adams persuaded the committee to select Thomas Jefferson to compose the original draft of the document,^[2] which congress would edit to produce the final version. The Declaration was ultimately a formal explanation of why Congress had voted on July 2 to declare independence from Great Britain, more than a year after the outbreak of the American Revolutionary War.

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.

After the war of independence, the Constitution and bill of rights were written.

These documents have provided the gateway for the most free country in the history of the world.

This document must be protected to ensure the freedom of man.

Ronald Reagan once said that America is the last shining beacon of hope in the world. I believe this to be true, no matter how dark the days may be becoming.
