Society is doomed

These words ring true in my mind when I see people working hard, holding up companies, and not getting the raise or promotion they have earned, while others who don’t even show up on time get big increases because they’ve arm twisted someone in management for a new position and pay.

These words ring true in my mind when I look at all the countries that fell over the last century to socialism and communism. All the capital squandered, all the potential lost.

When you look at how deep the socialist tendencies lie, you realize that we now stand on the edge of oblivion. Britain’s Empire is gone, the Portuguese Empire is gone, the German Empire is gone, Russia is a dead vessel, all the African nations which were once developing so well, are now burnt out husks.

When you study history, when you look at what has really gone on, it is quite scary to think about how successful communism has been in ruining nations.

When you look at South Africa and Zimbabwe in particular, you see that it was ‘racism’ that drove those countries over the edge. At least, that’s what we’re told. No one wants to sift deeper, because they don’t want to offend anyone. I have black friends, and I have South African friends. I can safely say that the black people of South Africa and Rhodesia were not ready to self govern, they were not well educated enough. The South Africans and Rhodesians were not racist, they simply understood that the indigenous population was not ready to self govern. Unfortunately for them, they got swept up in the movement of the day, calling for equal rights, and now, having been brought down to the lowest common denominator, both black and white people in both countries are worse off.

They are worse off not because of skin color, but because of attitude, because of standards and quality. The people of South Africa and Zimbabwe would have been well off to have slowly introduced black people into the voting and self determining population over a few decades. Both sides would have won, but, in stalling these needed democratic reforms, they spelled their own doom. Aided quite literally by the communists, black majority groups took power, and having the wrong set of ideology, drove their respective countries into the ground.

Since the end of the cold war, the metaphorical glass container holding communism has been dropped, and its contents smashed. It now leaks into society the world over. It’s in our schools and in our government. It’s ideology lives on, despite history showing its devastating and genocidal effects.

When you see common core being introduced into schools, with math equations that even college professors can’t understand being taught. When you see those on welfare living better than those grinding out a 9 – 5 job. When you see energy costs going up because of over regulation. When you see that small business owners are penalized with higher taxes, while low skilled workers get larger and larger tax returns. When you see those who put their blood sweat and tears into inching their way up though companies, small raises at a time, always jumping at the latest promotional opportunity, but then seeing a suck up and an arm twister taking that place over them. When you see the gradual decline of once great industries, and empty buildings on the side of the road, shut down because of too much regulation and too high taxes. When you see news outlets putting down your amendment rights, while glorifying entertainment stupidity. When you see that vulgarity is popularized over virtue, in almost every aspect of your life, you know your society is doomed.

When you see that popular science based on out dated models of doom and gloom, take precedence over steel hard facts. When you see that socialized medicine is viewed as virtuous in spite of historical facts proving otherwise. And when you see that gun control is supported in the name of safety despite statistical evidence showing that gun ownership actually reduces crime. You know that your society is doomed.

When up is down, right is left and forwards is backwards. You know that your society is doomed.

If you are guilty of helping hold up those who do not deserve help, while denying a hand to those who would build so much with it? Are you a part of the problem or the solution?

Are you teaching your kids real history? Are you instilling in them good morals and the ability to think critically?

The only way to beat the rushing tide if hatred and stupidity, the only way to beat back vulgarity, is to stand as a shining example to others.

You are the difference between society being doomed, and society being saved. You must save yourself. You must educate yourself. You must no longer stand silently in the shadows. You must find your voice, even if it trembles, and tell the world the truth.

Or else, society, and civilization as we know it, is doomed.

Thoughts on self empowerment and blogging

There are times in your life when you become completely swamped. Be it with work, family, projects, or whatever else you fill your life with. Through it all, its important to stay happy.

I started this blog to express my points of view of the world, this country, freedom, and what it means to be an American. I have gone through spans of time where I have updated this site daily, and periods where I haven’t written for months.

It takes time to write out a blog, it takes longer to re-read it and make sure that not only are there no spelling mistakes, but that the darn thing actually makes sense. It’s hard to make it completely unflawed, especially in dealing with opinions on a wide variety of subjects.

This year peaked for me during spring and into early summer. I was working 50 – 60 hours during the weekdays at my job, and supporting my wife for 12 – 24 hours a weekend with her company. In the middle of all that I was trying to keep up with going to the gym four times a week, and we had multiple out of state family functions interwoven between all that too. During this time I was also questioning libertarianism, and the way the world is changing. I didn’t have time to write, and even if I did, I doubt it would have been anything worth reading.

What is important, most important in your life, is you. You front and center. You must put your happiness above all else. In the event of a plane malfunction, you’re supposed to put your oxygen mask on first before helping others. This is true. If you can’t help yourself, you will be useless to others.

Since I couldn’t find the time for this blog, I felt it was useless to try writing anything, since it would seriously lack substance.

Since the 4th July holidays, things have calmed down considerably for me. Work has stabilized, and my wife is able to more effectively run her business without as much need for my assist.

What this all comes back to is; do I really feel like writing each day? Do I really feel like writing out my thoughts and opinions for the world to see? Is it really worth my time?

Another problem with writing is critics. Everyone’s a critic. I found myself trying to defend my points of view a lot, and this distracted me from other things I needed to get done. But, after thinking about it for some time, why should I care what others think? If I’ve done my research, if I’ve laid out thoughts and ideas for others to think about, should I really care about their opinions? Perhaps. If it’s a nice opinion, or a thoughtful critique, sure. If it’s simply a nasty response, it should be ignored.

The problem with being passionate about what you write, is that you tend to get defensive over your work, because any negative feedback is judged as a personal attack. It’s important to understand that there are probably more people out there who disagree with you, than agree with you.

It’s important to simply lay out your argument, and let the comments be whatever they will be. Critiques are healthy because it helps sharpen your view point, but negativity should be ignored.

When dealing with politics in particular, its important to stay positive. It’s important to look for the good in people, and to point out the innovations in the world, and not the multitudes of faults and despair.

If you’re lucky enough to live in a western nation, particularly the United States of America, be thankful. Enjoy your freedoms, your internet, your creature comforts. Spend time with your husband or wife, watch a TV show, relax, enjoy the fruits of your labor. Sites like this are designed to spark thoughts and revelations, to help maintain and grow the freedoms that we enjoy. Everything should be taken with a grain of salt, and time should be made to laugh and be joyful in the world.

Empower yourself to do better, to defend freedom, but to enjoy life along the way. Liberty starts at the individual level, and humor saves us when the world feels  dark all around us. To be able to laugh away danger will make all the evil in the world shake in its boots. Get out there, be strong, and enjoy life!

Changes in perception on libertarianism

For a while I considered myself very libertarian, and in many ways I still do, but perhaps now I am more of a little L Libertarian. I am finding myself ever more conservative, especially in light of recent events.

As the news sources continually pour out stories of Russia invading the Ukraine, the rise of the Islamic State, and general belligerence from other nations in the world, I find myself reassessing old points of view on libertarianism.

Point of View

During the 1800’s, from the time of the Napoleonic War all the way until the start of the first world war, Great Britain ruled the oceans. Being a mostly free nation, concentrated on trade, the world entered a boom phase. Not only did the United Kingdom lead the industrial revolution, it brought peace and relative stability to the world, allowing capitalism to flourish.

Today the United States of America is the world’s foremost superpower. It is a mostly free nation, concentrated on trade.  Since the end of the second world war, America has been dominant, maintaining relative peace and stability in the world.

Now, there have been many wars, and many lives lost over the last few decades, but those numbers pale in comparison to the lives lost in the two world wars. The US took up where Britain left off in maintaining trade and capitalism in the world.

America’s foreign policy is one of a projection of force. Most countries have the understanding that if they are peaceful toward us, we are glad to trade with them, if they are hostile toward us, we are likely to obliterate them.

There have been many mistakes in America’s foreign policies over the last few decades, many of which will be argued over for many more decades to come. A lot of people say that we should never have gotten involved in Iraq to begin with, and I can understand these arguments.

However. The rise of the Islamic State is not something the world should sit by and allow to happen. The Islamic State is a barbaric and backwards regime. Not only do they kill thousands of innocent people in droves, but they are totally hostile toward western civilization. They will not stop until we are either all Muslim, or all dead. Forget Al Quadi, they’re soft in comparison, these guys mean business.

As the world’s foremost superpower, we do have a duty to maintain order in the world. As a friend of mine once said “nature abhors a vacuum” Do you really want the likes of communist China, or soviet style Russia to be the world’s new superpower? Do you really think either of these countries will be even close to as fair as Britain and the USA have been to other nations throughout the last two centuries?

Do you really think if we just sit back on our hands that everything will just be alright?

I think not.

We, and we alone can stand up against these tyrants, we and we alone can restore capitalism, free trade and free thought to the world. The American way is one to be proud of.

Here’s to praying that the house and senate are swept with conservative republicans this fall, so that we can finally begin proceedings against our limp wristed, golfer-in-chief, The world will be a lot safer when we finally impeach this anti-colonial, communist traitor from the white house. Barack Obama’s lack of leadership has the world teetering on the verge of a third world war.

Real leadership is needed, and that starts at the grass roots. I am at least thankful for libertarians at that level, helping alter the progressive tendencies the republican party was heading in.

Another issue I am reconsidering is my old stance against Israel. Now, the very creation of Israel after the second world war, much like the creation of Syria and Iraq after the first world war, has caused nothing but problems for the surrounding area for the last few decades. But to say, as I did over a year ago, that Israel is inherently evil, is perhaps naive. Now, the Zionist Illuminati, and other such organizations, those are I believe not healthy to the world, but the Israeli state now exists, for better or for worst, and I do not want to see the killing of innocent women and children. It is not the fault of those born there that the state exists. It is evil however for an organization to launch rockets at peaceful population centers and use women and children as human shields. As the state now exists, Israel does have a right to defend itself. Hamas is an evil terrorist entity. Their emblem includes the communist hammer and sickle. This has made me rethink everything.

As for the general rule that many libertarians are atheist, I do not believe a lack of faith is healthy in society. Lack of faith leads to empty vessels, and after a couple generations of this, they tend to be hungry for new faith, which can be easily steered toward evil. The rise of radical Islam seems to take place right behind the rise of socialism. Socialism is the moral decay of a society, which puts altruism above self interest on the national level. Once this takes foot, it is hard to stop.

I believe in morality, in doing good to others, but also doing well for yourself, and setting a good example.

As for drugs and gay marriage, I do not like the idea of legalizing drugs, but I can see that the drug war has done no good to communities. For gay marriage, how can you support a notion which is generally not accepted by the populace, and damns the very idea of marriage itself?

These are questions I pose not only to my self, but to all libertarians. The fact that a group of people within a country can discuss ideas of freedom in such a way, is a miracle unto itself, but I do not know if all inclusiveness is sustainable.

I pray for the restoration and growth of this great nation and of her people.

Watching Dinesh D’souza’s ‘America, Imagine a world without her’ has given me a new respect for this county.

Shortly after becoming a citizen, I was shocked to find the amount of corruption that goes on in day to day politics in this nation, and how far it has sunk over the last few decades. I was reading articles from all kinds of different subjects, and to be honest I was confused. I was upset that this nation’s citizens had allowed this country to falter. But it is only recently that I have found out just how deep the progressives have penetrated this nation, and how they have done so through an encroaching fashion.

It was only by watching Dinesh’s movie ‘America’ that I found out that Howard Zinn was a communist, and that half of all slave owners were black. The native Indians were mostly wiped out by disease, in a similar way that large swaths of Europeans were during the plague. Mexico was entirely taken over by America, but half of it was given back. Mexicans are forever trying to get into this county, but Americans never try to illegally move to Mexico.

What Dinesh D’souza successfully does in his movie, is debunk the progressive’s rallying cry about inequality and oppression. The progressives try to get you to feel bad about the way you live, so that you’ll follow their warped sense of ideals.

America is the only country on earth where you can come from any walk of life and be treated the same. America is the only country where we call our waiters ‘sir’. America is the only country where you can go from rags to riches, and still be treated as royalty, no matter what your background.

America is the only nation born out of liberty.

Just look at the declaration of independence:

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.

The constitution and the bill of rights were designed to keep our liberties in check for centuries to come, no matter how bad an administration may become. Today we see our amendments standing up to the tyrannical winds from the progressive movement.

If enough people stand up for what is right, for what they believe in, and for what our founders fought for, then no one can take these freedoms away from us.

America is beautiful, not because of its geographical location, but because of its ideals. Stand up and be heard, and do not let these progressives, who are really in the minority, stand in the way.

 

Thoughts about libertarians and homosexuals

It’s hard to believe that it is already the middle of summer. 2014 has shot by for me so far. Between 50 – 60 hour work weeks, weddings, family gatherings, and helping my sister move to Ohio, I’ve literally not had a single minute to sit down and write.

I have however been keeping up with the news, the Obama administration’s endless list of scandals, and the many comings and goings of the world around us.

My viewpoints are beginning to change again. I find myself becoming more conservative in nature. Recently I watched Dinesh D’Souza’s ‘America, Imagine a world without her’ at the cinema, and I didn’t realize just how deeply the progressives have penetrated our society. Up until watching this movie I didn’t realize that Howard Zinn was a communist, and I didn’t realize that half of all slave owners were black.

I find myself beginning to pull away from Libertarian ideas. Lately I have found that many libertarians are only interested in pushing gay marriage and legalizing drugs. I have seen very little from the movement in opening up free market capitalism, and other forces for true freedom.

While I personally do not think gays should be stoned to death or anything of the like, frankly it’s none of my, nor the government’s business what you get up to in the bedroom, I do not think gay marriage should be ‘legalized’. Honestly I don’t think gay and marriage should even be in the same sentence. The definition of marriage is between a man and a women, connected in holy matrimony. It’s supposed to be significant. It’s supposed to be meaningful. It’s supposed to be the commitment of two souls, to face the world, for the rest of their lives, no matter what the odds.

I have seen too many libertarians get married then divorced, like taking off a pair of shoes because they no longer liked the way they fit. These same people want homosexuals to be able to get married and divorced willy nilly also, like it’s dress up or make believe. This is the real world, not some fantasy where you get to change the rules every ten seconds. Marriage is supposed to be a higher ideal, not a bottle of lip gloss.

If you’re homosexual, if you’re attracted to the same sex, if you want to spend your life with that other person, so be it, it’s none of my business what you do with your life. I won’t support the government coercing you into stopping your way of life. But this whole gay marriage issue has got to stop. It’s one thing to ask for some sort of civil union, its another entirely to redefine the definition of marriage. Also, if you want to be taken seriously, gay pride parades are not the way to do it. If you want to be treated like an adult, in an adult world, boys dressing up in flowery dresses, and dancing on floats in speedos are not the way to go about it. Like I said, I’m not against homosexuals, only against the idea of redefining marriage.

What I have found out is that the Libertarian party is largely funded by democrats, and its no surprise because the libertarians have been successful in fracturing the Republican party. In many ways this is a good thing, and I rode that wave because the Republican party has not kept to its principles for so long, and has become highly progressive. But as far as pushing open willy nilly issues such as gay marriage and drug legalization, are we not breaking down the fabric of a moral society? Are we not destroying the meaning of words to fit the progressive creed?

Think about it. This isn’t an attack on Libertarians or homosexuals, but rather a look at what we as a society are doing to ourselves. As I learned from watching ‘America’ the only way any nation can defeat this one, is if we rot away from within.

Redefining the meaning of words, tearing down the moral value of ideals, pushing openness and equality across the board without looking at what it truly means, is this really the way forward? Are you truly pushing for freedom, or trying to shove a warped view of reality onto others?

Take a deeper look at the issues you’re pushing. Do they actually benefit this nation, or do they help fracture it further?

Obama is the weakest president in US history

While our imperial leader attempts to gather as much power for himself here at home, he now looks as weak as Neville Chamberlain did in the 1930’s over seas. It is incredibly frustrating to watch history repeat itself.

This is what happens when you have a leader who does everything he can to consolidate power here at home, while ignoring the founding documents the country is based upon. President Obama has weakened the economy, he has weakened the dollar through horrendous debt, he has weakened the military with his budget cuts, and he has weakened our own people’s resolve by giving them free handouts, of money we don’t even have.

Instead of using the Budapest memorandum, and sending troops into northern Ukraine to balance out power in the region, and to serve as a stern warning to Russia’s Putin, instead President Obama talks to Russia’s president for 90 minutes, complaining that the ex KGB Colonel doesn’t have the right to invade the Ukraine, all the while wearing his ‘mom jeans’.

President Obama, instead of mobilizing our forces in the region and sending a strong signal to Russia to back down, instead dispatches John Kerry to Kiev, who claims ‘the US stands with the Ukraine’. But in what way? How do we ‘stand’ with the Ukraine? The only thing Russia recognizes is force. Instead we have just now given the Ukraine a billion dollars. A billion dollars we don’t have, for a country that doesn’t have anything to use it on, except to appease Vladimir Putin.

All of the Republican’s fears during the 2008 elections have now come into light. Barack Obama is a weak president, who doesn’t understand international affairs. He doesn’t understand the economy, he doesn’t understand how to cut taxes to allow businesses to create jobs, the only thing he understands is socialist community organizing. But then, what should we expect from a man raised by communists?

The only thing stopping Russia from invading the rest of the Ukraine is John Kerry being in Kiev. Russia, and Vladimir Putin, for all their faults, dare not kill an American, especially a high ranking official like Kerry. This is why we should send troops into the region. Even a couple of small companies would do. The Russians would not dare start a wider war with the US.

Instead, our inept president dithers, and offers money and promises, instead of physical force, which is much needed. All of this just goes to show how hollow this president is. He is truly the emperor with no clothes. A communist community organizer who knows nothing of how the world really works. His policies spell the death for the western way of life. We can only hope to hold on now until a real president is elected again.

Foreign policy

This morning a friend and I were discussing foreign policy. We were talking about the situation in the Ukraine, Russia’s aggression, and the history of the cold war. My friend went into detail about America’s roll in the world in the 20th Century, and I discussed England’s role, particularly in the 19th century. We both agreed that having an English speaking nation patrolling the seas, was essential to protecting free trade, and ensuring our liberties here at home.

We discussed what we would do if either of us was president, instead of our current befuddling fool in the White House. His was more of an aggressive plan, threatening Putin, while mine was more diplomatic. If I were the president, I would use the 1994 Budapest Memorandum to send US Troops into the Northern part of the Ukraine, with a statement that the troops will be put there to ensure a peaceful transition of power while the interim government goes about holding fair elections.

Many would view this as escalating the situation and provoking a third world war. Yes, it would escalate the situation, but it would stop Russia in its tracks. In fact, it may even prevent a third world war, because it would stop Russia from gobbling up sovereign nations, and consolidating more power for itself. Remember that Nazi Germany gobbled up neighboring territories in the late 1930’s, and then became unstoppable when it invaded Poland.

History is repeating itself, as it always does. Sometimes you have to meet aggression with aggression. Now I’m not saying we should go bomb Russia, or attack its troops or assets in the region. I’m simply saying we should put troops on the ground, in accordance with the existing treaty, and then figure out a peaceful deal with Russia to ensure a smooth transition of power in the Ukraine.

It is my understanding that much of the Crimea is actually of Russian decent, and consider themselves Russian before Ukrainian. That’s fine, if they want to hold a referendum and rejoin Russia, that should be put on the table. The northern part of the Ukraine could then hold a referendum to install a pro western leader, and then join the EU. In this instance, both sides win, and both sides save face.

Now, if we don’t do anything, Russia will attack the Ukraine, our president will look like the idiot he actually is, and Russia will aggressively expand her territory, while we sit on our hands, with the most powerful military in the world, looking pathetic and weak, when we could easily stop the aggression, without even a shot being fired.

Now, I know my libertarian friends will be furious that I would even suggest all this, but, we are the worlds foremost superpower, and we are a constitutional republic. We ensure free trade in the world, we are the check against Communist China, and aggressive nations like Russia. While I agree we should not go out of our way to meddle in other countries affairs, when we have treaties, we should enforce them. It’s a very fine line. We should promote and protect counties which want democracies and free trade.

That is my take on the situation. Unfortunately, I fear we will do nothing in this instance, and Russia will grow in power, while we sit around and do nothing but unnecessarily lose influence in the world.

Forging my own path

From the time I first began paying attention to politics, my path has varied, as everyone’s has. As a teenager my thoughts were more liberal and indeed socialist in nature, as you would expect of anyone brought up in a socialist country. Almost as soon as I moved to the US, my thoughts became more conservative. My actual voting record to date is purely conservative and libertarian. I have yet to vote for a single liberal.

During the 2012 primaries, right after I became a citizen, I was excited about Ron Paul and his message of peace and prosperity. My thoughts became very libertarian in nature. After my bitter disappointment with the GOP convention that year I became almost anarchist in my thought process, and back toward libertarianism in 2013. Recently I find myself more conservative again, as I do not always agree on the libertarian mindset. I am anti drug, and anti gay marriage, but understand where the drug war has failed, and where government should stay out of peoples bedrooms. I am pro peace, but understand that a strong English speaking nation patrolling the high seas has maintained the very prosperity we have enjoyed over the last few centuries.

It’s interesting to think about all the people you encounter on a daily bases, those who you work with, a family you marry in to, people you meet at gatherings and conventions. Just about everyone I have ever met has had some impact on my life and my thought process. That is not to say that I am easily swayed, far from it, but I am a big thinker, and I like to run down several avenues before I draw my conclusions.

Essentially I have always been pro freedom, I hate the idea of being told what to do, by anybody or any entity. I hated school for that reason, but I love to learn.

I have been very lucky in the people I have met. My wife is the most important person I have met, and her father, who inspired me to read philosophical and mythological works by people such as Joseph Campbell and Friedrich Nietzsche. I have met trustees of the Township I work in, I have met influential people such as Libertarian girl, and YouTube celebrities such as Supadupaflygirl. I have met members of the world stunt association, members of the Wild West Society, independent movie directors, and many others from all walks of life.

The life that my wife and I have forged for ourselves is already so unique. We cast off the acceptable shackles of society and cast off into the great unknown.

As for politics, and indeed anything in life, you must speak up, you must say something, you must do something. Even if you might be wrong at first. We learn by making mistakes. I have gotten in so many arguments, even with good friends on this site, because of apposing viewpoints, but every time I learn something. I learn how to argue better, to argue smarter. I learn that the way I phrase things might be off. I learn to sharpen my viewpoints, to make more sense of them. It is better to be considered a fool for a moment, than to stay quiet and be a fool for your whole life.

As I continue to forge my path, I continue to learn, I continue to pay attention to the world around me, and to others who cross my path. My path is like no other. I came to a thick forest, and began hacking at the branches, learning as I went. Now, already my path is long, it has curves in it, and it is interesting. I continue to push on, deeper and deeper, discovering more and more of life’s treasures along the way.

The freedom movement in this country is growing, and I am growing with it. This week the Tea Party turned five years old, and last year saw the rise of the libertarian movement. Conservatives are growing smarter, are growing wiser, and even liberals are starting to question their leaders actions. The world is waking up, and people are starting to walk off the beaten track.

Obama is the joke of the world

As the Russian military prepares a full scale invasion of the Ukraine, President Barack Obama issues a weak response to the occupation of the Crimea by Vladimir Putin’s forces.

Barack Obama’s polls are down at home, our economy is going sour, and there are many signs that it is about to crash. His healthcare bill is a complete disaster, our debt is at astronomical new highs, and he continues to spread more money for failed social programs while publicly announcing cuts to our military.

All this comes on top of scandal after sandal by his administration; Benghazi, fast and furious, the NSA spying on everyone, the IRS auditing conservative competitors. Mr Obama is no longer the darling of the left, nor of the world, who were practically at his feet when he took office.

Even in Germany where he was loved as a senator before his election, there are now graphics depicting him as the Stasi.

Vladimir Putin, who is a cold calculating ex KGB operative, has now ponced on this weakness, and is preparing to retake what he sees as his in the Ukraine. The world is watching as our weak and foolish president sits back and does nothing, except issue empty rhetoric; symbolic of his entire term as president.

What a shame for this country that the first black president of the United States will be remembered not for the content of his character, but for the color of his skin. He has proved himself once and for all to be completely incompetent, and he has seriously weakened our nation, both at home and abroad.

While Russia’s Putin calculates war in the Ukraine, President Obama and Vice President Biden jog around the white house, while Michelle Obama gets ready to star in a sitcom. These people are so far removed from reality it is astounding.

I pray for the people in the Ukraine, and for the stability here at home over the coming weeks. Barack Obama is surely the joke of the world.

Hollywood has to change

One of my friend’s and I recently got into a heated discussion about the new RoboCop movie, and she was basically saying that I shouldn’t be watching anything from the progressives in Hollywood. While I agree with her in theory, I still love to watch blockbusters, especially when they are libertarian minded.

The truth is, the progressive side of Hollywood is dying. Oh sure you still get a lot of Hollywood blowhards lapping up the communist liberal agenda, but these fools are now mostly ignored. What really shows is the actual movies being made.

Even though Hollywood tough guys like Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone are personally anti gun, their movies depict the exact opposite of this, and that is what people take away from them. These two super star actors rose to fame during the unapologetic 80’s. Their movies are cheesy and their acting is terrible, but we still love the tough guy image they portray in them.

During the 90’s and early 2000’s we saw a lot of soppy liberal apologetic movies, and none were all that successful. It’s only since the new superhero movies such as Iron Man, Captain America and the Avengers have come out, that movies are becoming true block busters again. Rebellious movies such as Pirates of the Caribbean smashed the box office charts, while true unapologetic franchises such as the Dark Knight Rises rewrote the way Hollywood movies are made.

We are entering once again into an unapologetic era of hard hitting action hero movies, where freedom and independence shine through. The liberal Hollywood elitists cannot make their soppy movies without the hard hitting movies to rake in the cash. I suppose this is where my friend referred to me as an enabler. But what I have to say is that none of these soppy movies will be around for long, because for just a few hundred dollars and a good eye, I can make my own half decent movie and feature it on YouTube for free. Hollywood cannot compete with that unless they make good solid movies. And with the Disney owned Star Wars franchise getting ready to make the next set of movies, the bar will really be raised to the top.

Hollywood will have no choice but to change with the times, or get utterly destroyed by its own arrogant stupidity. And personally, I’ll watch a good indie movie any day over a Hollywood movie.
