Socialism will never take over America

Communism was only able to fully take over Soviet Russia because the US provided the poor with food. If they had not sustained the people with bread and water, the Russian’s would have eventually rebelled and the empire would have come crashing down.

America will never be taken over by socialism. It is a mathematical impossibility. The only reason Europe has been able to sustain itself is because there have been capitalist nations in the world propping up the whole system.

At 16 Trillion Dollars in debt, we simply cannot afford to pay for any more social programs.

“The problem with socialism is that eventually you run out of other people’s money” – Margret Thatcher

We are already seeing signs that Obama’s grand plan is failing. Hundreds of businesses have announced plans to lay off workers and cut hours to stop the heavy burden and costs of ‘obamacare’.

Almost every State has now signed a petition on the white house website to secede from the Union.

People are fed up, they will not put up with the slug that is socialism. We are in a period not seen since the revolutionary and civil wars. It is literally a battle between the producers and the moochers. But guess what? The producers will not allow themselves to be shackled. Before they pay another dime for social programs and taxes, they will simply close up shop and ‘go galt’.

The engine of the world is driven by capitalism. Without it the whole world falls apart, and no amount of ‘pull’ will be able to stop it.

The battle back toward peace, liberty and prosperity has only just begun. Let not your heart be troubled. We’re in this for the long haul, and there’s a lot of work to be done.

The moochers and looters are currently celebrating their mini victory, and are currently poking fun at those of us who have been working hard to preserve our way of life. Let them have their fun, it will be short lived. Use your frustration to do good, be productive, teach others, prepare yourself and your family for what lies ahead, and be ready to reclaim the world.

Socialism has just about lived out its course in history, and when it comes to a sudden end, it will vanish from the earth, and individuals will rule once more.

America is the land of opportunity, the land of Capitalism and free enterprise. If you take those traits away, it is nothing but an empty shell, one which will fall, break and disperse, and the fragments will rebuild the way it was supposed to be. Whether we continue as a unified republic or as several states will mutual exchange of goods and services, America will flourish once more. We are currently shedding a skin, and a new one is already forming.

Go join your local Tea Party, your local liberty group, go talk to your neighbors who hold similar opinions. Build friendships, make alliances, stock up on food in case of a power black out. Learn new skills, teach yourself. Build yourself as an individual, so that no one can ever pull the rug out from under you, and so that you can always depend upon yourself, no matter what idiot is in charge of the government. They don’t control us, we employ them. Continue to throw out the incumbents, and continue to install new principled representatives who abide by the constitution.

Socialism is almost dead, the socialists just don’t realize it yet. But you and I know better, and we’ll be prepared when it happens.

America’s greatest days are still ahead.

Atlas is shrugging

Since the confirmation of  Barack Obama to a second term in office, hundreds of businesses are announcing plans to lay off workers and enact a hiring freeze.

Obamacare is unsustainable, and businesses cannot afford to pay for it.

Many State’s are fed up with paying for unending federal programs, and are ready to leave the Union altogether.

To protect yourself and your family, you need knowledge, food, water, guns and ammo (to protect against looters) and a place to stay. Things may get very ugly very quickly. It is up to the individual to protect his or herself. The government cannot protect you, even FEMA is incapable of sitting through a storm.

Capitalism, free markets and liberty is the only way forward. If we can survive another four years, we might see it again. If not, anarchy (and not the good kind) will spread and you will be left to fend for yourself.

If the states are able to break from the union, and deregulate themselves, there may be hope on the horizon, and free trade will flourish spurring a renascence in the economy. But either way, we’re in for a bumpy road ahead.

Atlas is Shrugging. The best thing you can do is be prepared!

Thoughts on the 2012 election and the future

I have mixed feelings about the 2012 election. I did not vote for Mitt Romney, but I also did not want Obama to win. I did everything I could to strengthen the liberty movement, and to help the libertarians to offset the corruption of the republican party. I voted for Gary Johnson for president to give the libertarians a cutting edge to build from, but I also voted for many republicans in house and senate seats to overthrow the diluted democrats, who simply do not get it.

I thought Mitt Romney was a progressive and that being elected as president would allow him to sweep our efforts under the rug because he is a conservative, if only in name. Perhaps he would have improved the economy slightly, and bumbled it along a little longer, but I think he also would have started a massive war with Iran, and he would have done nothing for our civil liberties. But all that aside, I know many of you worked hard to get him elected simply because he was the only person with enough power to beat Obama, who has turned out to be a terrible president, and a detriment to our freedoms and our way of life.

I would like to apologize to those who I have upset or offended during the course of this election period. I set out to get Ron Paul elected through the primaries. A man who I thought could actually change things for the better. Sadly he was shunned like a piece of garbage by the crooked establishment and the bought and paid for media. Ron Paul is one of the very few people who still shine as a beacon of hope in a wasteland of empty promises. But what’s done is done, and now we have to move forward. The points that I made over the course of the last few months, particularly against Mitt Romney and the establishment were to prove how corrupt they are and to illustrate just how far gone our republic is that he could ever possibly be our best chance to preserve freedom.

The republicans and the democrats are exceedingly corrupt, and we must continue to throw out the incumbents who do not follow the constitution, and install people who will actually do their jobs the way they are supposed to.

I will continue to point out faults in both parties, but I am willing to work with both the libertarians and the conservatives to find common ground so that we can create a bulwark against the tidal wave which is coming in the form of massive debt, the dollar collapse, and the erosion of civil liberties. Barack Obama’s policies are a detriment to our liberties, and we must stop the attack from both sides of the isle.

I would like to extend my thanks to those of you who worked on the side of liberty, whether we agreed on our methods or not, I know you did what you felt was right, and I did the same. Now is not the time to point fingers, but to find common ground and focus on our strengths so that we can build a future. I think every reader on here will agree on free markets, civil liberties and the protection of the constitution. I think also that by far the biggest issue of the day is the national debt, and we must work to plug the dam immediately if we are to avert a complete currency collapse.

I am willing to work with those of you who believe in individual liberties, and who are working hard to preserve them. I will continue to write articles to expose the looters, and combat the corrupt. I will continue to offer solutions  and to explain my theories along with information that I have found along the way.

Though the storm clouds are gathering, and our greatest challenge is fast approaching, I know that we will prevail. The liberty movement is just getting started!

A mixed economy will destroy itself

A mixed economy is a mixture of freedom and controls—with no principles, rules, or theories to define either. Since the introduction of controls necessitates and leads to further controls, it is an unstable, explosive mixture which, ultimately, has to repeal the controls or collapse into dictatorship. A mixed economy has no principles to define its policies, its goals, its laws—no principles to limit the power of its government. The only principle of a mixed economy—which, necessarily, has to remain unnamed and unacknowledged—is that no one’s interests are safe, everyone’s interests are on a public auction block, and anything goes for anyone who can get away with it. Such a system—or, more precisely, anti-system—breaks up a country into an ever-growing number of enemy camps, into economic groups fighting one another for self preservation in an indeterminate mixture of defense and offense, as the nature of such a jungle demands. While, politically, a mixed economy preserves the semblance of an organized society with a semblance of law and order, economically it is the equivalent of the chaos that had ruled China for centuries: a chaos of robber gangs looting—and draining—the productive elements of the country.

A mixed economy is rule by pressure groups. It is an amoral, institutionalized civil war of special interests and lobbies, all fighting to seize a momentary control of the legislative machinery, to extort some special privilege at one another’s expense by an act of government—i.e., by force. In the absence of individual rights, in the absence of any moral or legal principles, a mixed economy’s only hope to preserve its precarious semblance of order, to restrain the savage, desperately rapacious groups it itself has created, and to prevent the legalized plunder from running over into plain, unlegalized looting of all by all—is compromise; compromise on everything and in every realm—material, spiritual, intellectual—so that no group would step over the line by demanding too much and topple the whole rotted structure. If the game is to continue, nothing can be permitted to remain firm, solid, absolute, untouchable; everything (and everyone) has to be fluid, flexible, indeterminate, approximate. By what standard are anyone’s actions to be guided? By the expediency of any immediate moment.

The only danger, to a mixed economy, is any not-to-be-compromised value, virtue, or idea. The only threat is any uncompromising person, group, or movement. The only enemy is integrity. -Ayn Rand ‘The Obliteration of Capitalism”

I got home early from work yesterday and laid down for a quick power nap. I was feeling a little tired, but I was in a great mood since my wife was home, the sun was shining and it was warm outside. My dog jumped up on the bed and laid down next to me as I fell into a meditative sleep. About an hour later my wife came into the room and her phone went off. I was still sleeping, but could hear everything she was saying. I could hear and feel her getting more and more frustrated on the phone. Finally, after saying “no” several times, my wife said “you know what?” to her self, looked at the phone and clicked the red cancel button. By this point I had woken up and I asked her; “what was that all about?” Brooke explained the story to me, and basically; one of the sites that we use to advertise for our photography was calling to check our information. Brooke was very pleasant with the lady on the other end for the first couple of minutes, but the lady kept asking for our credit card information so she could update our account to a premium service. The amount was not very much, but my wife told her that we’re cutting our bills right now and we don’t need the premium service. The lady kept pushing her, and my wife kept telling her “no”. Eventually; like I said; my wife hung up the phone, and went to her hair appointment. Again; by this point I was awake, and I started thinking about something similar that had happened to my website domain provider. Being in network marketing and having various websites to run, I use one of the premium website providers to buy and keep my domain names. While checking my account the other day, I realized that I was being charged for renewing websites I no longer used. Basically, the site had put an automatic renewal on all my previous purchases. This is not something I had selected, and having used the site for several years, I knew this was a new thing, since I’ve had old domains expire in the past. Naturally I was quite irritated that I was being charged extra for things that I did not want. So I made sure to sit down and sift through all the domains and products I’ve had or used in the past, and deselect everything that was coming up for ‘automatic renewal’.

Now I must point out that the sites I’m talking about are not important, and this is not a dig at them. It is simply to illustrate how a mixed economy will destroy itself when it ceases to grow.

Right now our economy is flat-lining. Have you noticed all the cheap deals lately? All the little extra services for just $10? Have you noticed how pushy salespeople are with you on the phone, just to get an extra couple of bucks?

While the fed prints money out of thin air and the government spends our future away on all its stupid projects, while strangling growth with regulations and taxes. We the people are struggling to get by and are losing our jobs left and right.

A return to lassie-fair capitalism and libertarian principles of government, is the only way back to prosperity.

The fight for liberty will never cease and it is up to every individual to stand up and do his or her part.

Do everything you can to secure your own personal liberty. Cut down your debt, create more money for yourself through network marketing, through ebay, or whatever spikes your interest. The more independent you become, the better you will feel. And don’t let sites push you around and make you spend ‘a little extra’ unless you really want it!

Your personal capital, and your role in real capitalism will help get us out of the current ‘mixed economy’ mess. Secure your own future, and the nation will thrive.

Abandon Ship!

I do pay some attention to the main news headlines. It’s hard not to, and I do like to diversify my knowledge on common news articles. Even though most headlines are used to cover up other truths in the world.

It is not surprising that Captain Francesco Schettino of the Costa Concordia jumped ship. In socialist societies you are taught to blame everyone else but yourself for the ills of the world. You are not taught individual responsibility and leadership.

When people ask; ‘what is wrong with the world?’ I simply say ‘read Atlas Shrugged’

People must take responsibilities for their own actions. The captain should have been the last person off that ship, and should have taken full charge of the evacuations. That is what being a leader is supposed to be.

It seems that gone are the days of chivalry and honor, but do not despair, the days of men who ignore reality will pass. Society will collapse in on itself without leaders to pave the way. Luckily there are still leaders, and their voices are growing, backed by the growing number of people who have nowhere else to turn, and will finally listen and participate.

Capitalism, free trade, relaxed rules, freedom of speech, these will all make a comeback, if you stand up and make yourself heard.

An essay written just a couple years ago, shows how many are starting to understand the principles of a free and just society, and that responsibility from each individual is key to all of societies success.

Here is an essay about responsibility, and why socialism always fails:

The Compassionate Squirrels
a fable with a lesson about socialism

fable to real life is intentional.

There was once a society of squirrels that had been in existence for millions of years.
Each squirrel gathered and ate nuts and saved nuts to have food to eat during the winter
season. After all, it was the intention of Nature for squirrels to gather nuts. If a squirrel
got sick or was injured then it died of starvation if it did not recover soon enough. When
a squirrel became too old to gather nuts it died or was eaten by predators. If a squirrel
ignored the dangers of predators such as snakes, foxes, and hawks then it was eaten as
Nature eats its mistakes. Life was good if a squirrel did the right things and was short if a
squirrel did the wrong things. Thus, is the way of Nature. Nature quickly gets rid of
stupidity and laziness. Even if a squirrel lived properly it could still suffer a bad fate just
due to the random chance of disease, injury, or predation. There was no government — it
was every squirrel for itself.

A group of squirrels got together and decided that life would be better if a fund of nuts
was set up to take care of sick and injured squirrels. It would also be beneficial if a fund
was set up to take care of squirrels too old to gather nuts anymore. A concern of all
squirrels was being eaten by a predator. It was decided that a small government would be
set up to handle these concerns and improve the lives of all squirrels. This was a new
experience. No squirrel had ever been in a government before or even operated any kind
of business. Each squirrel would pay a tax of some nuts per year and then could live with
less worry about dying too soon. A defense system was also set up to quickly warn all
squirrels when a predator was around.

And so it was. The system worked well — with food to eat, more squirrels were able to
recover after being sick or injured. Those who would not recover could at least live out
their lives without starving. For the first time, elderly squirrels were able to retire. Life
was much better. Predators were a thing of the past with a fine defense department.
Since squirrels are all hard working, it never occurred that a squirrel might cheat the
system and fake an illness or injury just to collect benefits and avoid work. There was no
incentive to be lazy in the past because starvation was the certain result. As they set up
the government it had not occurred to the squirrels that good intentions could possibly
lead to bad results. Good intentions should only produce good results, they thought. The
squirrels had never heard of misguided compassion syndrome and had inadvertently
created a socialist system where the government managed the concerns of squirrels. The
squirrels also did not understand concepts of business and free enterprise and how these
concepts could serve the squirrel population without the problems that socialism leads to.

2
Eventually, a few squirrels learned how to cheat the system and receive benefits instead
of working. The other squirrels were starting to get a little suspicious of this but it was
hard to prove. The tax required to maintain this system had to be increased. The number
of squirrels working in the bureaucracy had to be increased too. Being paid a salary of
nuts to do bureaucratic work was easier than gathering nuts so there was no incentive to
do anything about any squirrels who were cheating. Cheating squirrels actually helped
the bureaucracy grow faster and thus raise the salaries of the bureaucrats.

The cheating squirrels started having offspring. The offspring also qualified for benefits.
The young squirrels played just as the young squirrels of the nut-gatherers but did not
learn how to gather nuts. They only learned that they had the right for nuts to be provided
to them. In fact, they wondered why other squirrels would work when nuts could be had
for free. The other squirrels must be stupid. As these young squirrels grew up they too
had offspring. Since they were not occupied in gathering nuts they had time to have much
more offspring than the working squirrels. They had more offspring than they could care
for and needed more government services to assist them. With socialism it takes a village
to raise a squirrel. The ever increasing number of squirrels to take care of required an
ever increasing government and taxes. Although the government squirrels were working
they were no longer gathering nuts so taxes on the ever fewer nut gathering squirrels had
to be increased again to support the growing bureaucracy and beneficiaries.

Taxes were increased again and again and the “fortunate” nut gathering squirrels were
working harder and harder to provide for themselves as well as for the “unfortunate” nonworking
squirrels living on government benefits and also for the increasing government
services. There was a slow but steady increase in the number of nut gatherers who figured
out how to be just about as well off by becoming non-working.

The nut gathering squirrels complained more and more but they did not have enough
votes to change the system. They were called all sorts of bad names such as rich, greedy,
mean-spirited, right-wing, uncaring, and evil. They were even accused of tax schemes to
create tax breaks for the wealthy. Welfare for the rich was denying the poor of what they
rightfully deserved as any nuts not taken as taxes were nuts essentially stolen from the
poor. Any tax relief for the nut gathering squirrels was seen as placing an unfair tax
burden on the poor. As the nut gathering squirrels were gathering more and more nuts
just to keep up with the taxes it was pointed out that there was a widening gap between
the fortunate and the unfortunate squirrels. The gap could be made to appear particularly
wide if the before taxes income of the fortunate was compared with the before benefit
income of the unfortunate. Economic justice would insure that no squirrel could get
unfairly ahead on this “level” playing field.

With great secrecy, one night the nut gathering squirrels abandoned their homes and store
of gathered nuts and moved to a new forest far away. The next morning the non-working
squirrels gleefully took over the homes and had a feast on the stores of nuts. Life would
now be very good with the rich squirrels gone. This is what they had been wishing for
and the unfortunate could now have what they had always deserved. True to the laws of
Nature they would ultimately get what they deserved.

3
The wealth of nuts was being quickly consumed. It then occurred to the able-bodied nonworking
squirrels that the sick, injured, and retired squirrels could not really enjoy life
anyway and were a drain on the wealth of nuts. These squirrels were labeled as “bad” –
enemies of “good” squirrels. Most of the “bad” squirrels had previously been the evil
fortunate nut-gathering squirrels who had made life so hard for the unfortunate “good”
squirrels. Now these “bad” squirrels were eating the nuts that the “good” squirrels
deserved — stealing from the poor. This serious threat had to be eliminated and so there
was a mass extermination of the “bad” squirrels. The “good” squirrels felt completely
justified. There was much rejoicing. Now there were only “good” squirrels. Life would
once again be good.

No squirrel knew how to gather nuts anymore. Some squirrels worked (as in every crowd
there is always a squirrel that works harder) at learning how and did, but the other
squirrels quickly took the nuts. After all, those greedy squirrels who worked did not need
the nuts and the needy squirrels who did not work, did. It was much easier to take nuts
rather than work for them.

There was no longer a government — it died a quick death without the tax revenue. There
had been a defense department that had done an excellent job at keeping predators away.
During previous times, many of the non-working squirrels believed that they could have
even more nuts for themselves if nuts were not wasted feeding squirrels working in the
defense department. After all, when was the last time a squirrel was eaten by a predator?
With the defense department gone and since most squirrels knew nothing about avoiding
predators (the government had always done that for them), the snakes, foxes, and hawks
now had an easy feast. The wish to get what they deserved had finally come true for the
“good” squirrels.

The population of squirrels rapidly fell. In the end, the surviving squirrels were those who
did figure out how to gather nuts and learned how to deal with predators. These squirrels
learned what their great, great, great ancestors had known; that a squirrel has to work
with Nature, not against it. Squirrels survive only by working — Nature does not provide
a living for free. Things had been fine as long as only sick and injured squirrels received
a free living as their numbers would always be small and could be supported by the
system. This level of compassion is compatible with Nature as there is a balance between
providing a free living to a disabled squirrel in exchange for the same being done for a
working squirrel should the working squirrel become disabled. Overall survival is
enhanced – that is what Nature is about.

Misguided compassion is extending a free living to squirrels who are just lazy. The
problems that this causes generally call for more misguided compassion which in turn
continues to make things worse. It seems that more socialism is necessary to solve the
problems that socialism causes. Misguided compassion is a violation of the laws of
Nature and can not go on indefinitely. When living creatures go against the laws of
Nature the death rate must increase and increase until the laws are again followed.

4
The nut-gathering squirrels who moved to the new forest are doing very well. They
rebuilt all that they had before and even set up a government again to handle broad
concerns of all squirrels including defense against predators. The government decided
that an insurance system to care for sick, disabled, and retired squirrels was best handled
by letting private squirrels set up competing insurance companies. Competition
guaranteed that waste and cheating would not be tolerated — i.e. working with the laws of
Nature. The singular government system of before had no competition and thus no
incentive to operate efficiently — that is, working against the laws of Nature. The
insurance companies did periodic evaluation to separate truly disabled squirrels from
squirrels who had only developed laziness disorder. No benefits were provided to the lazy
squirrels at all — they either regained their work ethic or died of starvation. The lazy
squirrels would complain but the desire to eat was a strong incentive to recover from
laziness disorder. It was amazing how fast any lazy squirrels recovered. On rare occasion
a few lazy squirrels did die per the laws of Nature thus illustrating to all that the incentive
was real. Occasionally there were calls to provide at least some minimum compassion but
these calls were steadfastly resisted lest the mistake of before be repeated.

This story ends with the surviving squirrels of the original society also learning and
applying this lesson. The experiment with socialism (i.e. that if a squirrel exists then it is
entitled to a share of the collective wealth whether it gathers nuts or not) was a dismal
failure that will not be repeated unless the lessons of history are forgotten. Privately run
and competing insurance systems to manage and reduce risk provide all the benefits of a
singular government system but without the expense and problems. Although the private
systems seem harsh and mean-spirited at times they are only following and working with
the laws of Nature. In the process and with Nature’s blessing, they make life better for all
except those who would cheat or become lazy. Government is best when government is
small and works in the interest of tax payers rather than in the interest of bureaucrats. A
squirrel can pay only a limited amount of tax. Otherwise there is no point in having a
government.

Since humankind is surely much smarter than squirrels it is inconceivable that humankind
would ever make this sort of mistake. Humankind is a lot more compassionate than
Nature and is surely smart enough and powerful enough to circumvent the laws of Nature
as they apply to lesser animals. Surely this is so.

Are we not compassionate squirrels? Do we not provide healthcare to the young and old? Do we not provide care for those who cannot take care of themselves? Do we not provide funding for a military? Do we not educate our young?

The size of government is too large, and when everyone blames everyone else for their problems, and those who are capable ask to be helped out because they have allowed their minds to become weak, and will not take responsibility. When this happens atlas will shrug, the responsible will leave, and the producers will cease to produce.

Just think about how many companies have closed since this great recession started.

Just look at how politicians shift the blame.

Just look at how many people around you are looking for someone to take care of them.

And then ask yourself this; ‘why am I not helping myself?’.

Why are you not standing up? Why are you not speaking out? Why are you not reading books and educating yourself? Why are you looking for another leader who will spoon feed you when you are capable of feeding yourself?

Take charge of your life, or run your ship into the ground.

The choice is always yours.

Set sail, or abandon ship!

What the heck are you doing?

I decided to start this blog, in order to get things off my mind, and to help turn the switch on in others. I’ve spent the last 7 years living and thinking outside of the box, and it has led me to where I am today.

I know that I am starting to talk more and more about politics, and the reason is no more than my need of government to step out of the way of the people.

My home country, the one I was born in, has slowly crept up and strangled the life out of its people. It went from the largest empire in history, off the back of lazier-fair capitalism, free thinking and inventions, to a socialist snake pit.

I want to live in a world where people are free to think and live in the way that they desire.

When I first came to America, I saw that in people, I saw that they could make their dreams a reality. I saw the big cars, the tall buildings, the wacky ice cream shops, the fully finished basements, the custom designed swimming pools, and everything in between. I thought I had landed in paradise. Thinking back on it, I had. But at my young age, I did not realize that this dream was slowly being strangled.

We are all created equal, but we do not start off in the same place. For some it is easier than others. But what is, or should always be equal, is the chance for the individual to struggle, and if his head and his heart are in the right place, eventually, with determination, that he succeed.

Laws are supposed to be put in place so that the playing field is leveled, so that those with less can struggle, learn, and prosper their way to the top. Those who are already at the top, can learn, and use their knowledge to maintain their status. If they do not act wisely, they should always be allowed to fail, no matter how big or how wealthy. Those in the middle should be allowed to struggle, make a decent living, invent and produce their way to the top. Or, if they do not educate themselves, they should be allowed to fail also. That is capitalism backed by fair laws, that level the playing field, not laws that redistribute wealth. This is the most fair system in history. It does not give way to demi gods.

If the United States government was not so corrupt to the point that it is strangling itself and its people, I would not be blogging right now, and doing my best to warn others to wake up.

I actually hate politics. I’d rather be sitting on a beach right now with my wife, or taking her out to the movies. Sure we still do all those things, but it would be far easier to work, come home, and play video games without a care in the world. Right now I cannot sit still, I cannot play video games for more than a few minutes without the urge to write, without the urge to research. I have to dig deeper, to fall further down the rabbit hole.

Any why? Why? I hear you ask. Because:

I want my children to grow up in a world of opportunities, not a life of servitude, I want them to be able to struggle toward prosperity, not strain under the hardships of totalitarian rules.

I want to be able to buy and operate a skycar I want to be able to live a long life, well beyond the years my ancestors lived. I want to grow knowledge in my mind, teach others and help this world become a better place.

I want to live my life to the fullest, not just now in this moment, but in my future as well. Life is not a race against the clock, it is a marathon, and I want to enjoy each mile. When you know there are pitfalls ahead, do you stamp the accelerator, or shift gears and prepare for the dissent? A controlled dissent and then a roaring charge back up the hill again, is better than flying out into the middle, crashing, buckling the wheels, and spending extra time fixing the damage.

So it is my responsibility to help restore this country, and provide the shining beacon of hope in the world. Sometimes you don’t choose your destiny, it chooses you. Sometimes you find yourself waiting for someone to do something, then you realize you’re the only one who will.

I’ll stand for freedom, because its the one thing that is always worth standing for.

If we are to prosper as a nation and as a world, we need to live in freedom, with fair laws that keep real criminals at bay. If we are to advance technology to enrich our lives, we must first see and realize the quality of our lives, not allow the government to steer us like cattle, and use our technology against us.

I’m not particularly interested in helping my fellow man, he can help himself. But what I will do is ensure that he is able to help himself, and not held back by bureaucracy. It is bureaucracy that led to the dark ages, and held people back for centuries, and it is bureaucracy that will again lead back to that, if we do not stand up and defend our individual liberties.

I am not on some holy mission to prove a point. I am simply standing up against would be tyrants. I am standing up because I know that if enough people stand up, make their voice heard, do enough research, learn the truth in the world, that we can prevent tyranny and oppression.

That might sound really spooky un-realistic, but just look at the world around us right now, and some of the rhetoric that is going on between presidential candidates.

So if you like reading this blog, good, I am glad, I will continue to write for as long as I can, while the thoughts flow through my mind, while I am still ‘allowed to’ and I will do my best to expose the truth, and help teach what I have learned, to help the world grow and prosper.

Capitalism, liberty, free thinking, rule of law and inventions, these are amongst the greatest ideals of our time, and should always be upheld, it is how the world moves forward.

I hope enough people wake up and make a difference before it is too late.

Money; Capitalism and the Gold Standard

A free thinking, and abundant society is built off the mutual exchange of goods and services. Capitalism, for the first time in history, leveled the playing field away from ‘dignitaries’, and allowed all men to become equal and trade goods and services between each other.

Capitalism, in its purest form, guarded by the people with a limited government, has allowed the largest leaps and bounds of science and technology in history.

Up until the 1920’s there was a gold standard for money, and it meant that in all developed countries, your money had a value to it and was backed by gold. During the gold standard, money always retained its value.

After the gold standard, the world switched to a fiat currency, which is backed by ‘trust’ in the stock market and government. As more money is printed on paper, the value of it becomes worth less and less, because there is more of it circulating. Special interest groups gain more fiat money that is printed, while the working class lose the value of their money, while making no more than they were before.

In 1924 you could buy a Model T for the cost of about 3 months wages. How many cars can you buy for 3 months wages today, based upon the median American income?

This is all due to deflation of value. We call it inflation of the markets, but all we’re really doing is raising prices and lowering the value of our products and money.

The biggest money scam in history took place at the end of 2008 during the presidential debates with the bail out funds.

Unfortunately our capitalist system has been hijacked by special interests and crony capitalists.

Some say that socialism is the answer. I say that it is not, as it drags everyone down to the lowest level of mediocrity.

Others say that money is the root of all evil. To which I contest. Watch this video:

“Money demands that you sell, not your weakness to men’s stupidity, but your talent to their reason.” – Ayn Rand

Money is not the root of all evil. I contend that corruption is the root of all evil. Without corruption, special interests and the looters of society, we wouldn’t be in the financial mess we’re in today.

Come to think of it…are WE really in a financial mess? After all, its the governments and special interest groups that caused this mess. We’re simply the enablers, the ones who didn’t do anything to stop it from happening, and now we have to suffer the consequences. Check out yesterdays post to see why YOU are to blame. And stay tuned for tomorrows blog on who I think can help us out.

I believe that with a gradual return to the gold standard, and ‘sound money’ we will return to a strong dollar and return our purchasing power. Our work will become more meaningful, since our money will become more valuable, and if coupled with de-regulation and tax cuts, our economy will begin to regenerate and thrive once more.
