Dope smoking libertarians

Aside from the fact that our drug laws have failed miserably, and that there are more drugs out on the streets today than there ever has been. Never mind the fact that this nation now has the highest prison population in the world of which half are there because of drugs themselves. The fact is most libertarians have never even touched the drug, let alone endorse it. Let me point out a few things which Ann Coulter may have over looked in her interview with John Stossel.

pot 14

Libertarians do not endorse pot. But more than that, they do not endorse heavy handed government that restricts individuals from acting of their own accord on their own private property.

pot 3

Libertarians do not embrace drug usage. I would identify myself as a libertarian because I believe in personal liberty above all else. The power of the state comes through a force of arms. By making drugs illegal good conservative intentions have created a police state. Morality comes from the individual, not the state. No amount of laws can stop people from acting stupidly. Want to smoke a joint? Have at it, go ahead and ruin yourself, I don’t care, just don’t do it around me. If a theme park were to allow people to smoke joints in their park, I would not go there any longer, and nor would half of its yearly visitors. The great thing about the free market system is that you get to vote with your feet, your money and your conscious. All the government is good for is breaking down peoples doors, shooting their dogs and locking people up. The drug laws in this country are so draconian they have created a Nazi style police state, with all the armed cops and prisons to boot. The conservatives of today parallel the fascist Nazis of Hitler’s Germany in the same way that the liberals of today parallel the communists of Stalin’s Russia. Ann Coulter calls Libertarians pussies because she is confused on what personal liberty really is. I do not associate myself with pot smokers, and I deplore their activities, but I do recognize their right to do so, so long as I don’t have to breath in their smoke. If they want to do it in their own homes so be it. If they want to do it in public, then the private property owners such as theme parks and restaurants have a right to boot them out for their actions. I would advise conservatives not to muddy up the message of personal liberty from libertarians simply because they do not want the government spying on everyone and kicking down peoples doors because of silly little joints. On the contrary to what Ann said Libertarians are one of the bravest groups out there, they argue with everybody and stand up for personal liberties across the board. If the founding fathers were alive today, they would side with the Libertarians at every turn. If the conservatives of today want to gain momentum and start winning more elections, they’d better make an ally out of the Libertarians, instead of butt heads on silly issues such as drugs. After all, we have a communist in the White House who is looking to take away the few remaining freedoms we have left.

pot 10

Conservatives would do well to make allies with the Libertarians. You do not defeat enemies by making more enemies, you destroy enemies by making as many allies as possible who hold at least a few of your own beliefs.

pot 8

Libertarians are extremely fiscally conservative, and believe in individual freedom above all else. These two things alone should make conservatives excited in their fight against the socialist democrats.

pot 9

Do not allow media pundits make you think that the libertarians are just a bunch of pot smoking hippies. This is simply not true, and is a diversion to keep you distracted by RINO’s who seek to coerce you.

pot 1

The drug war is a trillion dollar failure which has seen the rise of a police state and an overcrowded prison system which dwarfs that of Nazi Germany and Communist Russia. Conservatives would do well to keep a more open mind about what the real deal is with drugs (namely money) and concentrate more on personal freedoms and fiscally conservative taxation and spending.

pot 7

Do not be used by corrupt media by having your good moral nature used against you to empower corrupt government. Teach your kids that drugs are bad, but don’t support the government using batons against innocent people who have not harmed others simply because they made a silly personal choice to smoke a silly little plant. There is a better way of dealing with our drug problems.

pot 6

In fact, countries such as Portugal have seen massive drops in crime and overall usage by lifting the ban on drugs. It’s all about perspective and how you go about tackling the problem. Evidently, our government’s heavy handed drug laws have done more harm than good, and should be reviewed.

pot 12

Personally I’m not interested in marijuana, and I will not allow anybody to smoke it around me. I in no way endorse the drug, and would encourage people not to use it whether it is legal or illegal. I think there are much better treatments out there, such as herbal and food remedies, and I can think of a thousand more fun things to do than getting high. My biggest beef with the whole issue is that nobody should look at themselves as superior to others and have the heavy hand of government do their bidding because they feel they are more righteous than the lowly life forms who practice such a dirty habit. That’s the same kind of thinking that led to the Aryan Race, and the Third Reich. I thought we did away with that kind of absolutism? I think the conservatives would do well to listen to libertarians and not bathe in the same absolute logic that the Nazi’s used during WWII. You can’t fight fire with fire, but you can put it out with logic and tenacity. The libertarians and conservatives have a  lot more in common than you think , and they will need to work together in the coming weeks, months and years ahead if we are to reroute the rot of socialism.

The Truth – by Brandon Raub

After doing more research on Brandon Raub, I find myself agreeing with him on much of what he says. This is a post he made on his Facebook on November 11th 2011:

The Truth
by Brandon J Raub on Friday, November 11, 2011 at 10:00 am

America has lost itself. We have lost who we truly are. This is the land of the free and the home of the brave.

This is the land of Thomas Jefferson.

This is the land of Benjamin Franklin.

This is the land of Fredrick Douglas.

This is the land of Smedley Butler.

This is the land John F. Kennedy.

This is the land of Martin Luther King.

This is the land where the cowboy wins. This is the land where you can start from the bottom and get to the top. This is the land where regardless of you race and ethnicity you can succeed and build a better life for you and your family. This is the land where every race coexists peacefully. This is the land where justice wins. This is the land where liberty dwells. This is the land where freedom reigns. This is the land where we help the poor, and people help each other. This is land where people beat racism.

The Federal Reserve is wrong. They have designed a system based off of greed and fear. They designed a system to crush the middle class between taxes and inflation. This is wrong, and it is unjust. It is wrong.

We have allowed ourselves to be deceived and seduced by the powers of the printing press. It is not a good system. It discourages saving: the foundation for all stable economic activity. The Federal Reserve is artificially manipulating interest rates and creating phony economic data.

This thing has deceived our entire nation.

They created it in 1913. They also created the income tax in 1913. They encouraged the growth of debt so they can tax you on it. There is interest on the debt. Your government is in bed with these people. They want to enslave you to the government so that they can control every aspect of your lives. It is an empire based on lies. They operate of greed and fear.

There is a better way. It’s called freedom. Freedom is called a lot of things. But there is a true meaning. It means very simply that you have the right to do whatever you want as long as you are not infringing on the freedoms of other people.

I firmly believe that God set America apart from the other nations of the world. He saved a place where people could come to to escape bad systems of goverment. This system we have created works. It really works.

There is evil going on all around the world. The United States was meant to lead the charge against injustice, but through our example not our force. People do not respond to having liberty and freedom forced on them.

Men and Women follow courage. They follow leadership, and courage. Our example has paved the way for people all around the world to change their forms of government.

Force is not the way because liberty is a powerful concept. The idea that men can govern themselves is the basis for every just form of government.

We can govern ourselves. We do not need to be governed by men who want to install a one world banking system. These men have machine hearts. Machine and unnatural hearts.

They have blocked out the possibility of a better world. They fear human progress. They have monopolies on everything.

This life can be free and beautiful. There are enough resources on this earth to support the world’s population. There are enough resources on this earth to feed everyone. There is enough land for everyone to own their own land and farm, and produce their own energy.

These people have been hiding technology. There are ways to create power easily. There is technology that can provide free cheap power for everyone. There are farming techniques that can feed the entire world.

The Bill of Rights is being systematically dismantled. Men have spilled their blood for those rights.

Your sons and daughters, your brothers and sisters, and Americas best young men and women are losing their limbs. They are losing their lives. They are losing the hearts. They do not know why they are fighting. They are killing. And they do not know why.

They have done some extraordinary acts. Their deeds go before them. But these wars are lies. They are lies. They deceived our entire nation with terrorism. They have gotten us to hand them our rights. Our Rights! Men died for those rights!

September Eleventh was an inside job. They blew up a third building in broad daylight. Building 7.

Your leaders betrayed you.

You elected an aristocracy. They are beholden to special interests. They were brainwashed through the Council on Foreign Relations. Your leaders are planning to merge the United States into a one world banking system. They want to put computer chips in you.

These men have evil hearts. They have tricked you into supporting corporate fascism. We gave them the keys to our country. We were not vigilant with our republic.

There is hope. BUT WE MUST TAKE OUR REPUBLIC BACK!

Brandon’s Facebook page in many ways looks like mine. I post many articles, quotes and pictures on a daily bases. The difference is that I don’t say anything that would lead people to think I’m inciting violence. Some of his comments could be misconstrued that way.

I wonder if he knew that if he posted enough, he would be picked up? He doesn’t seem like a dangerous person to me, but perhaps ‘the authorities’ thought he might be another James Holmes, and go on a rampage.

The things that Brandon was posting on his facebook page make a lot of sense to those of us who have become aware of the corrupt system that works behind the scenes. Our republic really is under threat from multiple groups right now.

“I feel like I am standing at a great crossroads. As if a storm of destiny is about to pick me up and take me to fight a great battle. A battle I could have never imagined existed” – Brandon Raub

If he chose to make a scene of himself on facebook to get picked up and expose the tyranny that has gripped our nation, then I say more power to him. Non-violence is a far stronger weapon than some idiot going on a killing rampage. I think the heros like Brandon have seen enough bloodshed from our fruitless and unconstitutional wars in the middle east.

“Sharpen up my axe; I’m here to sever heads.” – Brandon Raub, August 13th 2012

I believe his ‘sever heads’ comment is only a metaphor, as you can certainly sever other peoples arguments when you sharpen your blade on the grindstone of truth.

Whatever Brandon’s intent on Facebook, whether he, like myself is just out there to expose the truth, or whether he was just venting, or imploring others to do their own research and join him in the argument for liberty. Then I say he is a hero for exposing the system for what it is.

“The Revolution will come for me. Men will be at my door soon to pick me up to lead it. ;)” – Brandon Raub, August 14th 2012

Let’s keep up the pressure and expose what’s happening to him, so that no-one else is picked up and detained.

Here are further news stories which are finally starting to surface about him:

It is up to us as individuals and citizen journalists; to put the pressure on the mainstream media and get events like this covered. Without us, patriots like Brandon will be left to rot in a cell somewhere under a once free republic.

“Friends,

You deserve to kow the truth. There has been an overwhelming amount of evil enacted and planned against you, your children, and your countrymen. It is great in scope. Your government evil. It is as simple as that.

And the calvary is coming.”

– Brandon Raub, August 12th 2012

Yes Brandon, the cavalry is coming; there are many people like you out there, and our ranks are swelling every day. We need not have bloodshed again on our soil, but we will take the country back.

Let’s turn the corrupt system on it’s head, and free Brandon Raub!

Talking about my generation

My generation is now experiencing first hand the fall out of bad governance, crony corporatism, special interests, and interventionism.

My generation is growing up into an encroaching police state. Our country is completely divided, while some people cling to the left, and some people cling to the right. But the problems lie much deeper than that.

Our currency is now completely off the gold standard and is now backed by nothing. This fiat currency loses more and more value every day. Never in human history has a country survived on fiat currancy alone. Our 41’st anniversary with fiat currency just went by.

To go along with the fiat currancy, we also have an unprecedented amount of debt. Never in human history has a country accumulated so much debt. And all nations that do not resolve their debt problems go into decline.

Wars are expensive. Not only are they bloody and brutal, but the costs of maintaining them always drags down a nation’s wealth and resources. As of right now, we have over one hundred military bases around the world, and are engaged in a number of conflicts. Including the war in Afghanistan, and using drones and hellfire missiles to kill people in Pakistan and many other middle eastern and African countries.

Our elections are now completely fraudulent. In the 2000 presidential election we caught our first taste of this. And during the primaries this year, there have been many reports and law suits filled over the GOP’s handling of the nomination process. There are accusations of Ron Paul’s votes being counted as Romney’s, and counties that weren’t even allowed to vote. It seems that the GOP can’t even play by its own rules.

With my generation the buck stops here. We are no longer able to tollerate the charade of political deception being played by the establishment and enshrined in the media.

When I came to this country, I learned a lot about freedom and individual liberties. It’s the kind of knowledge that once you know, you don’t forget. In fact, once you know it, you begin to espouse it, and you can’t stop talking about it. Once you know what true liberty and freedom is, it gets stuck in your veins, and you’ll fight to maintain it.

When I first moved here, and after the 2008 elections, I tuned in to fox news and discovered Glenn Beck. Up until the beginning of this year I loved the guy and everything that he stood for. But then things stopped adding up. Something seemed wrong to me. Some of the actions he was taking and things he was saying didn’t make sense, they didn’t add up. I felt like he was going against the very principles he stood for. After discovering these things, I came to the conclusion that he is either completely miscalculating with the information he receives, or that he is an agent of misinformation, here to take our thoughts and upsets at the government, and flip them right back around to continue the establishment, to further their agendas. The problem with people like Glenn Beck is that while they are right in most aspects. They are also wrong in many others, and this leads us into a false dichotomy, and does nothing to help our reasoning skills. Always take what you hear from others with a pinch of salt, don’t take it as prophesy.

One of the biggest problems we have is that our media establishment is completely bias. I’ve heard the Tea Party and Glenn Beck complain for years now that the liberal media is bias. Now where I don’t dispute that, I would point out that FOX News and many of the other ‘conservative’ news channels are bias also. In fact all the liberal and conservative channels are all geared toward the big government and big brother agenda in one way or another. All they have to do is get you to argue about trivial issues, and you end up missing the point entirely.

Corruption is rife in this country. Of course no country is void of it, but you see it even on a local level here. There are very few politicians in power who do not accept lobbying from one group or another. Congress is now no longer concerned with our well being, but completely concerned with furthering their own interests, their own profits and their own convoluted agendas.

The corrupt politicians, the crony businessmen, the sold out media, and all the special interests groups are all working hand in hand for their own agendas, while looting the wealth of the nation. This is a cycle that cannot continue and will collapse in on itself, taking many innocent people with it. If we cannot put a stop to it, we will go down as a nation, whether we self destruct as a police state, or fall into total anarchy, our future looks extremely bleak, if we continue on our present path.

So where do we go from here? And what can we do about it? How can we fix these problems?

For all their current faults I still admire The tea party. I like it when groups of people get together and try to hammer out solutions to pressing problems. The local tea party groups in my area have had much success at the state and local level.

I believe that the future of this country is to build from the ground up at local levels. To elect new congressmen and new senators. To go across the isle and vote for both democrat and republican candidates, based on their knowledge of the constitution and their explanations of how they would roll back government.

And finally, the best thing you can do as an individual is to speak out and build a better tomorrow. If more voices come into the fray, then our debates get livelier, and we can weed out the ideas that don’t work and find more common ground.

The problems that face my generation are unprecedented in our country’s history. It is no longer a simple case of voting for one side or the other. It will take a great deal of effort and awakening by the older generations to help steer our country back onto the path of liberty and prosperity.

Learn about the constitution, and have the guts to stand up for what is right, don’t just go along with the crowd or the establishment. The stance that you make and show to the younger generation will make a lasting impression. Remember that the future is always built, by the up and coming generation. So together, lets make sure we make it a good one!

Bias

I suppose by now I can call myself an online journalist of sorts. I take information from various sources, then research each source and try to find the truth between the articles.

I try to be fair and balanced. There are too many blog sites with crazy lunatic theories with many exclamation points! AND CAPITAL LETTERS, so emphasize their theories. Having studied English literature, I know that this does not appeal to people, and often turns them away.

People want to know what’s really going on, and many see that the media is not telling the whole truth, and even worse, is often completely bias to one political affiliation or another.

I often joke that CNN is the Communist News Network, and FOX stands for Fascism Obsessed Xenophobes. One network is extremely liberal, and the other extremely conservative. I think that certain news anchors do a better job than others, but the bias is so thick it is hard to swallow.

So back to the online community; which now includes Glenn Beck. I agree with many of the things that Glenn says, but sometimes he loses me. I can’t understand why he stands up for liberty and yet will not endorse Ron Paul. I think it has something to do with Israel and his religious beliefs. Personally I put freedom above all else and therefore put this country first.

And then you have infowars.com with Alex Jones. I like listening to him, he keeps me well informed on draconian laws and how the police state is taking over. But he often comes across as a loon also because he is so serious all the time, and makes it look like the boogie man is hiding around the corner.

Then you have whatreallyhappened.com which I love, but sometimes the points of view are somewhat socialist. It’s hard to tell, and there is so much misinformation in the world that it would be easy to get lumped into one group of people or another.

Let me just point out that the last few paragraphs are speculation, and should not be treated as fact. It is a Sunday afternoon, and I’m keeping things quite mellow.

As for bias; I am bias. I am bias toward liberty. I am bias toward freedom. I am bias in these areas because I believe everyone has a right to make a life for themselves, whether it turns out the way they want it to or not, or whether they make good or bad decisions.

The only reason I have become political lately and endorsed Ron Paul is because he is the first and only candidate I have ever seen that endorses liberty, who protects the constitution, who votes to limit taxes and reduce taxes, and who has the best interests of all people at heart. I see that this country is at a crossroads, and it is my duty to help defend the constitution.

I have shown this video a few times now, and it sends shivers down my spine every time I see it. This man, this actor and comedian, spent an entire movie making fun of Adolf Hitler, and at the very end he stood up on the podium of liberty and gave one of the most bone chilling speeches I have ever heard. His words are as powerful and meaningful today as they were back then. In 1940 Hitler had taken over the entire continent of Europe, and collectivism had swept the world, and yet Charlie Chaplin stood up and exclaimed that man was born free and that liberty will never perish:

So long as I have air in my lungs and a keyboard at my fingertips, I will always expose the truth; I will always fight for freedom, because it is the only thing worth fighting for; because without it; we have nothing.

I hope you enjoy this site, I hope you learn from it. I do my best to add as many links as possible so that you can do your own research. There is nothing worse than blindly listening to one person and not figuring out things for yourself.

Abundant Truth is all about exposing the truth and showing an abundance of it. The world will be a better place when people learn the truth and become more tolerant, and like I always say; that starts with the individual. And in that case I am bias.
