Make America Great Again

It’s actually pretty simple ‘Make America Great Again’ and with a candidate like Donald Trump, you actually believe it will happen.

I have long held Libertarian ideals, yet in my private life I am very conservative. As a teenager I liked a lot of what liberals had to say, but that was during the Bush Administration, and I never really cared that much for Bush, though I did like some of his speeches. You’d have to be heartless not to get behind him after 9/11, but aside from that, I didn’t care for his expansionist government policies and reckless spending. The handling of the Iraq war still haunts us today.

The only time I really liked Barack Obama was when I first heard about him in 2006. I liked some of his speeches, and he spoke like the constitutional professor that he was. After that I never much liked him as it slowly became evident that he was a big government activist and did not have much love for the United States. He has been a terrible president. His only real achievement is becoming the first black president. That is an inspiration for black people and minorities for generations to come. It’s a shame that it ends there.

During 2012 I backed then presidential candidate Ron Paul. I loved the way that he spoke, and I believed what he said to be true. He is a genuine guy and was a fantastic congressman. I did not vote for Mitt Romney because I found him to be disingenuous and did not believe anything that he said. After his tax remarks recently about Donald Trump, it proves what a loser he is. Where was that tenacity during the 2012 presidential debates? He was and is a true establishment guy, and not good for this country.

Fast forward to 2016. Rand Paul is an excellent senator. I loved his 13 hour filibuster in 2013 and I love how passionate he is about protecting America and the constitution, but he is not as effectual as his Dad at conveying his message. Ted Cruz delivered his filibuster a few months later and I found it to be copied. In fact, much of what Ted Cruz says seems to be copied. It feels to me like he’s saying exactly everything you want to hear without the sense of being genuine about it. The fact that Glenn Beck is backing him also concerns me. For the longest time I loved Glenn, and I’ve gone back and forth on liking him for a long time. But he always ends up rooting for the establishment candidates. Just like he did the Bush’s, just like he did Romney. The fact that Ted’s wife works for Goldman Sachs is another red flag. Goldman Sachs was the biggest campaign contributor to both presidential candidates in 2012. They run the show.

And now there’s Donald Trump. I didn’t know much about Trump until recently. I knew that he was friends with Robert Kiyosaki, and that sat well with me as Robert is a great guy and inspiration in the entrepreneurial world. Since Donald announced his plan to run for the White House, I began researching him, and as a gift for Christmas, my in-laws gave me a copy of his book ‘the art of the deal’. I read it a few days later before New Years, and quickly went out and bought his latest book ‘Crippled America’. I began to have more insight into the man, and then went and watched the first three seasons of ‘the apprentice’ with my wife. I was very impressed with the deals he has made over the years, and the way he runs his businesses. I started researching his politics, and saw that he has been registered as both a democrat and republican over the years. One thing that stood out to me is that over the last couple of decades he has always sided against the establishment. Something else that stood out to me is that he has indeed donated to both sides of the isle, but that it is mostly just to stand in good favor with candidates so he can keep business operations going.

After watching the highlights of some of the debates, I find myself liking Donald more and more. I don’t believe he’ll part the seas, I don’t believe he’ll be a perfect president. He isn’t a true conservative, and he doesn’t hold all my values and beliefs. But what I do believe is that he’ll get the job done. He says he will strengthen border security and strengthen the military, he says he will bring jobs back to America. I believe that he will do this. The reason being that he is the only candidate talking about Mexico and China being a threat to our economy. He is the only one talking about tariffs, taxes and trade. All of the remaining candidates are bought and paid for in one way or another, but not Trump. He’s in this for himself. He’s in this for his businesses, and he’s in this for his kids. This is his finale to a very colorful and successful life. He is the only proven and successful businessman on stage, and he is the only one who has proven he can work with both sides of the isle to get things done and get things moving. With nearly 20 Trillion Dollars of debt, this country cannot afford to get tangled up right now. The constitution is vital to this country and I do not believe Donald will shred it. The government is too big, and it does have too much power over us, but anarchy will not help us, and if the economy is not righted very soon, the country will dissolve into that. At that point it would not matter who was president. For that reason alone I believe Trump is the only solution for the presidency right now. He is not perfect, he is not a true conservative, he will not right every wrong in our country, but he will break loose the economy, and the strength that gives us will aid us in repairing the country in years to come. Trump is the short term solution to our biggest problem, and in becoming president he will aid us in fixing our long term problems.

I am officially endorsing Donald Trump for the presidency. Good luck, and God speed.

Winteregg is winning

On Saturday I wrote an article about JD Winteregg and Eric Gurr. Having attended the straw poll in Eaton, and having heard these two men debate three times now, I can safely say that JD is the right guy for the job as Congressman of the eighth district of Ohio.

I received some negative feedback from a couple of Gurr’s supporters on twitter when I said that Mr Gurr suggested deporting both legal and illegal immigrants. Though he may not have said this directly, the way he directed the conversation certainly made it sound like it. His reference to operation Wetback made him sound racist. Mr Gurr said he would round up all the illegal immigrants and significantly reduce legal immigration. He said he wanted to send them all back home. Now if a Libertarian Conservative like myself took that as meaning legals and illegals, I can only imagine how much fun John Boehner’s team would have with it, not to mention the progressive mainstream media. They’ll tear him apart and call him a racist. They’ll show him as being out of touch. At the end of the day Eric Gurr would be a PR nightmare and would likely ruin our chances of replacing John Boehner. Now I’m sure Mr Gurr is a nice enough guy, and he does seem to genuinely want to do good, but you have to be able to play the game, and Eric Gurr is simply not articulate enough.

JD Winteregg on the other hand understands the progressive game. He knows how to play it and to hand it back to them. He has the strategy to throw it back in their faces.

Now I’m not the only one who feels JD is the better candidate. Daily blogger Rich Hoffman had this to say about JD: “J.D. has a new penny feel about him, and after hearing him speak, I believe he is incorruptible.”

We need someone fresh, principled and incorruptible. Just like senators Rand Paul and Ted Cruz, JD brings fresh ideas and optimism when he speaks. JD understands the progressives game and how to play it against them. We need JD to beat Boehner and win OH8.

Lessons from 2013

2013 saw an array of assaults from the communist left; from gun control to Obamacare. But the right is fighting back. 2013 witnessed the rise of the Libertarians. It saw filibusters from Rand Paul and Ted Cruz. It saw the continuation of the Tea Party movement, when many said it was over. The Tea Party facebook page is now over 2 million strong. That’s two million people just like you and me, who aren’t afraid of what their aunties and uncles, nephews, sisters, brothers, parents, friends and co-workers think of them. That’s two million people who know what is right, who know what is wrong, and know that something must be done about it; no matter what others may think of them.

2013 2

The left has so poisoned the media and the general culture, which starts at the poisoned education centers, that people are now concerned only with feelings, instead of what is right and wrong. We’ve got nanny states, who pamper our kids, and who exclude individuals who step out of line.

2013 3

2013 saw the farce that is government, spend more money shutting down monuments and parks than it would have taken to keep them open, in order to make people feel bad. It then saw veterans from around the nation throw these barricades onto the White House lawn. It saw the media ignore this, all the while the independent alternative media went crazy, and images were bounced all over the internet for the entire world to see.

2013 6

After the cowardly and stupid push for gun control in Colorado, 2013 saw this states citizens create a petition, and recall its out of touch senators.

2013 1

2013 proved that no matter how strong the few in power are, no matter how many useful idiots they have at their feet, they are fundamentally weak because they do not stand on principles. They have no honor and integrity, and in this new information age, the world is beginning to see right through them. So do not let your hearts be troubled by the avalanche of stupidity that is swelling at our feet from their crookedness. Stand up and be strong. Find your principles, stand on them. Be a light in the dark, be a person of honor and integrity. Speak up, and remember that “Ten people who speak make more noise than ten thousand who are silent.” – Napoleon

2013 4

Continue to read about the founding fathers, about Ayn Rand, continue to fill your head with truths. Be the person who can call out a lie, and dismiss it quickly and finally with the truth.

2013 5

2013 has taught me that anything is possible. That no matter how dark things may seem, there is always light at the end of the tunnel. Keep your feet planted firmly on the ground, and stand out for all the world to see. We survived 2013, let us continue the fight back into 2014!
