Leading the way against weakness

I’ve been a coffee drinker since I was about nine years old. Through my teens and into my twenties I’ve always had a couple cups of coffee to help me wake up in the morning.

When I was a teenager I told myself that I’d join the British Army unless I was lucky enough to find the love of my life before I finished school. Well, I found my love and the rest as they say is history.

Actually its a pretty cool story since I grew up in the UK and my now wife, grew up in the good old USA. But that story is for another day.

I’ve always had a soft spot for those serving in the military. Be it the UK armed forces or the US armed forces.

Watching war movies growing up instilled in me a sense of duty and honor. Those who serve are the best any country has to offer.

After 9/11 and the invasion of Afghanistan and Iraq, many young veterans were molded out of years of fighting and tough situations.

A couple of guys I went to school with served in the British Army. One of whom has done three tours between Afghanistan and Iraq. Now he is a strongman and competes regularly.

These days I mix news, memes and comedy all on my Instagram feed. When I’m watching my son or taking a break from work I’ll often sit down with a cup of coffee and scroll through my Instagram feed to catch up on the latest news and have a bit of a laugh too.

Thats when I stumbled on this video:

It’s a little bit crude, but I love the guys sense of passion for America and standing up for what is good and right.

After watching that video I had to watch more. I found Mat’s Youtube channel and the guys at Black Rifle Coffee Company and got carried away watching their videos.

Here were a bunch of men who had gone off to war, and on returning found themselves either unemployed or underemployed. To make matters worse, if they wanted to get a simple cup of coffee from the store, often times they’d run into a bunch of hipsters, who nine times out of ten are Bernie Sanders supporting weaklings who are anti second amendment and anti armed forces.

So Evan creates his own company and hires a bunch of his buddies. Cool huh? Even cooler was when Starbucks announced that it was going to hire 10000 refugees. Black Rifle Coffee Company turned that on its head and announced they were going to hire 10000 veterans instead.

In war and in civilian life, these men are leading the way. In the vacuum of weakness left by the Obama administration and the hipster era, these men fought back with entrepreneurial spirit and dedication. They turned a passion into a new career path and are having a lot of fun promoting it.

I hope that now with the Trump administration and a renewed sense of American patriotism, that their company will soar to new heights and far surpass their goal of hiring 10000 veterans.

If you want a good cup of coffee and want to support those who served this country, look no further than the Black Rifle Coffee Company.

I wish them all good luck and much success.
